Rhizoma Curcumae is the dried rhizome of Curcuma phaeocaulis Val.,Curcuma kwangsiensis S.G.Lee et C.F.Liang or Curcuma wenyujin Y.H.Chen et C.Ling,which are from zingiberaceae.The latter is commonly known as WenEZhu.It is commonly used in traditional Chinese Medicine.It has the function of promoting blood circulation and analgesia.Producers cut the medicinal materials after softening,which is the production method of Curcuma pieces presently.The medicinal materials are produced by medicinal herb collectors.In order to product the Curcuma pieces,production enterprises obtain medicinal materials from medicinal herb collectors,and then processing in GMP production workshop.This traditional production mode has the disadvantages of long time consuming,complex process and large loss of effective components.Based on the above problems,the integration of habitat processing and further processing of Rhizoma Curcumae was studied in this paper.We choose Curcuma wenyujin as raw material and discuss the rationality of the integration technology by optimizing the integrated production process,comparing the quality of the traditional processing pieces and the integrated processing pieces,analyzing the consistency of the quality and the efficacy of the two pieces.This paper has completed the following contents.1.Study on integrated production processFirst of all,optimize the habitat processing.The author fully respects the traditional processing method and the judgment standard.Contents of volatile oil,curdione,curcumol,germacrone,curcumin are determined.Taking the content of these components as indexes,the habitat processing methods of steaming and boiling are compared.The results show that the content of curcumol in steamed sample is up to 50% higher than boiled sample,and there is no significant difference in other components.In this paper,the integrated technology of steam distillation was studied.The effect of different steaming time on the content of each component is different.The content of volatile oil and the effective components are increase first and then decrease with the increase of steaming time.It is appropriate to steam 3~4 h(Time is different because of different sizes).Secondly,to investigate the drying conditions to meet the requirements of cutting.The drying time and degree are investigated by using the degree of difficulty of slice 3~5 mm and the integrity of slices.The results show that the Curcumae is easy to cut,and the film is better,when the steamed Curcumae is dried at a temperature of 50? for 36~42 h and the content of moisture is about 44~50%.Finally,the drying technology is optimized.By orthogonal experimental design method and multi-index comprehensive evaluation analysis to select the best drying technology.Comprehensive evaluation of the experimental results,though the factor of temperature,time,switching frequency,and the index of moisture,volatile oil,germacrone,curcumin content to select the best drying technology.The best drying technology is as following: the drying temperature is 45 ?,drying time is 6 hours,and switching frequency is switching per hour.In summary,the integration process is as following: the fresh herbs washed,steaming 3~4 h,drying 36~42 h at 50 ?,slice 3~5 mm,then drying 6 h at 45 ?,and switching per hour.2.Comparative study on the quality of prepared slices of Rhizoma Curcumae by traditional processing and integrated processingWe make a comprehensive comparison of the two processes from the provisions of the Pharmacopoeia,the content of the five components and the characteristic map.The results are as follows:(1)the properties of the two kinds of prepared slices are all in accordance with the requirements of the Pharmacopoeia,Among them,the color of the integrated slices is shallow,and the color of traditional slices is deep;(2)inspection items and identification items are in accordance with the requirements of the Pharmacopoeia;(3)the content of volatile oil and curcumol in the integrated slices was lower than that of the traditional pieces by 7.22% and 53.13%,respectively;the content of etoh-extract,curdione,germacrone,furanodiene and curcumin in the integrated slices was higher than that of the traditional pieces by 38.03%,35.98%?7.66%,54.99%,77.45%,respectively;(4)According to the HPLC map,there is no difference in the composition of the two kinds of pieces.3.Comparative study on pharmacodynamics of two kinds of prepared slicesIn order to study the rationality of the integrative processing method,the comparative study on the efficacy of two methods is carried out.The model of acetic acid induced pain,xylene induced ear edema,carrageenan induced tail thrombus model in mice were used to compare the analgesic,anti-inflammatory and antithrombotic effects of two kinds of pieces.The results show that the two kinds of Rhizoma Curcumae had significant analgesic,anti-inflammatory and antithrombotic effects and no significant difference.Through the study,the technological parameters of the integrated process of curcuma slices are determined.Compared with the traditional process,the integrated process is more time-saving and labor-saving.The comparative study show that the quality of the integrated slices are improved and the effect is consistent.It is concluded that the integrated production of Rhizoma Curcumae is reasonable.
