The Study Of Construction And Application Of Integration Of TCM And Western Medicine Database Of Breast Cancer

ObjectiveThe present study is aimed to build database of patients with breast cancer,which contributes to better storage as well as management of case resource and convenient follow-up visit of patients.The database is supposed to meet the need of clinical researches of our hospital and promote the cooperation with other hospitals.MethodsThe primary field screening were achieved after experts group discussion,then the field were standardized with the guidelines of breast cancer and divided into various modules.The standardized field was sent to database engineers to establish the field table.Eventually,the rationality of this field table was discussed by experts and the final version was determined.2.By using Browser/Server software architecture,the data-recording system was based on dynamic Web page,whereas the data of breast cancer patients were stored and managed by MySQL system.3.Small sample of data from breast cancer patients in Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were recorded to test the function of this database.ResultsThe database was established with followed characteristics:Rational construction,comprehensive information,convenient manipulation,satisfactory safety and good extensibility.The function of the database included storage,management.,statistical analysis and sharing.The database can real-time update data and intelligenty analyze them.ConclusionThe breast cancer database provide excellent approach for clinical data storage and management,patient follow-up visit and data analysis.With this database,the clinical data can be studied efficiently so as to benefit the clinical decision-making.
