Objective:TO explore NR4A nuclear receptors expression in lung tissues from patients with pulmonary fibrosis and normal controls. Methods:Collecting fresh lung tissue samples from patients with pulmonary fibrosis as experimental group and normal lung tissue samples as control group.Using immunohistochemistry,Western blot and q-PCR to explore NR4A nuclear receptors protein,mRNA expression in lung tissues of pulmonary fibrosis patients and normal lung tissues. Results:Immunohistochemistry indicated that the NR4A nuclear receptors were highly expressed in lung tissues of pulmonary fibrosis patients comparing with normal controls and was dominant by NR4A2 nuclear receptor.Western blot indicated that the NR4A nuclear receptors protein was highly expressed in lung tissues of pulmonary fibrosis patients as compared with normal lung tissues. Finally, the NR4A nuclear receptors mRNA was highly expressed in lung tissues of pulmonary fibrosis patients detected by q-PCR.Conclusion:The NR4A nuclear receptors were highly expressed in lung tissues of pulmonary fibrosis patients as compared with lung tissues of normal donors. The NR4A nuclear receptors may play a key role in the development of pulmonary fibrosis. These findings may have significant clinical implications in patients with pulmonary fibrosis. Therefore,we describe NR4A nuclear receptors as novel and specific therapeutic target for human pulmonary fibrosis.
