Liaoning Xianrendong National Nature Reserve is located in the transition zone between the flora of North China and the flora of Changbai.The forest vegetation has the characteristics of both flora.Exploring the litter reserves and ecological functions of different forest communities in the region is of great significance for a deep understanding of the nutrient cycling mechanism of the forest ecosystem in the plant transition zone and effective protection of forest vegetation in the region.Based on this,this study takes the core area of Xianrendong National Nature Reserve in Liaoning as the research area,takes the litter of 9 typical forest communities in the area as the research object,and uses a combination of field sample collection,indoor testing and quantitative analysis.Methods: A systematic study of litter storage,hydrological effects,and nutrient enrichment functions in different decomposition layers of 9 forest communities was conducted.The results showed that:(1)The thickness of litter in the undecomposed layer,semi-decomposed layer and fully decomposed layer of 9 forest communities in Xianren Cave in Liaoning is 0.62-3.53、0.35-1.90 and 0.17-1.23 cm respectively,and the reserves are 1.86-8.02 and 1.01-9.64 and 0.89-6.98 t / hm2,respectively,the total thickness and total reserves are 1.14-5.44 cm and 3.76-22.77 t / hm2,respectively.Among them,the total thickness of litter in the Quercus + Quercus serrata-flower tree blue + Hazelnut-Pan community is the largest,and the total reserve of litter in the Quercus mongolica + Red pine-Hawthorn leaves Rubus-Dwarf bushes community is the largest.On the whole,the litter reserves of coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forest and broad-leaved forest are relatively large.(2)The maximum water holding capacity of litter in the undecomposed layer,semi-decomposed layer and fully decomposed layer of nine forest communities in Xianren Cave in Liaoning is 1755.41-3854.73 、 1762.41-3520.00 and 2045.74-4224.87 g / kg respectively;the maximum water holding capacity is 175.54%-385.47%、176.24%-352.00%、204.57%-422.49%;effective storage capacity is 284.99-2427.96 、 284.07-2010.19 、299.67-949.92t/hm~2;effective storage capacity rate is 131.60%-307.97% 、 108.23%-281.26%、129.12%-336.71%.The maximum water holding capacity and the maximum water holding capacity are both the complete decomposition layer of litter of Pinus sylvestris-hawthorn leaves rubra + Zanthoxylum bungeanum-Dendrobium sylvestris community;the effective storage capacity is Quercus + Quercus oak-Flower tree blue + Hazelnut-An The undecomposed layer of litter in the G community was the largest;theeffective storage rate was the largest decomposed layer in the litter of the red pine-hawthorn hawthorn + mountain pepper-Dwarf bushes community.The relationship between the water holding capacity of the forest community litter and the soaking time is logarithmic,and the relationship between the water absorption rate and the soaking time is a power function relationship.Overall,the water-holding capacity of litter in broad-leaved forest and coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forest is stronger.(3)Litters of 9 forest communities in Xianrendong,Liaoning have the highest C content in the nutrients contained in the litter of undecomposed layer,semi-decomposed layer and fully decomposed layer,77.52%-92.09%、 56.84%-82.05%、 28.62%-64.98%,the content of Ca and N is also considerable,varying between 2.72%-9.03%,the content of K、Mg、P、S is relatively small;the content of micronutrients contained in Mn and Fe is more,The contents of Zn、Cu、Cl、Na and Ni are relatively small.Taken together,the litter of coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forests and coniferous forests has a strong function of enriching nutrients.
