Desulphogypsum is a by-product of the desulfurization process in coal fired power plant,which is mainly composed of calcium sulfate dihydrate?CaSO4·2H2O?.The annual discharge of industrial solid waste is up to 4×107t and can only landfill or open-air accumulation.Desulphogypsum contains a lot of Ca and S which are beneficial to plant growth.If it is not properly disposed of,it will not only pollute the environment but also waste resources.The application of desulphogypsum in agricultural production can not only increase crop yield,but also solve the problem of mass accumulation of desulphogypsum.To study effects of desulphogypsum on plants,we grew alfalfa and Leymus chinensis in pots containing nutrient soil mixing with desulphogypsum.The results show that:?1?Leymus chinensis and alfalfa were grown in pots containing mixed nutrient soil and desulphogypsum at weight ratio 10:0?9:1?8:2?7:3?6:4?5:5and 4:6.The research shows that when Leymus chinensis was treated with desulphogypsum,except for 8:2 experimental group,the other experimental groups had no significant concentration dependence.The treatment of alfalfa with desulphogypsum could promote its growth.Compared with the control group at 9:1?8:2?7:3 and 6:4,the average plant height and fresh weight of alfalfa increased significantly,and the contents of Ca?Fe?Zn?K?S?anthocyanins,amino acids and organic matter in plants increased significantly.After 5:5,excessive desulphogypsum inhibited the growth and nutrient accumulation of alfalfa.?2?Alfalfa were grown in pots containing mixed nutrient soil and desulphogypsum at weight ratio 10:0 as the control group,and the alfalfa were grown in pots containing mixed nutrient soil and desulphogypsum at weight ratio 6:4 as the experimental group.Alfalfa was treated with low temperature,drought and high salt.The research shows that the application of desulphogypsum could significantly reduce the malondialdehyde?MDA?content and proline?PRO?content in alfalfa under stress.The results showed that the application of desulphogypsum could enhance the resistance of alfalfa.?3?Alfalfa were grown in pots containing mixed desulphogypsum and six kinds of fertilizers at different concentration gradients.It was found that high concentration chicken manure and low concentration cow manure combined with desulphogypsum had the best fertilizer effect.Low concentration Fe fertilizer,medium concentration N fertilizer and low concentration sheep manure fertilizer could improve the feeding quality of alfalfa,but the indexes of alfalfa in plant ash test group were not significantly improved,which indicated that the mixed fertilizer effect of plant ash and desulfurization gypsum was not good.?4?Based on the detection of soil calcium content in four areas of BayanNur City:Dengkou,Linhe,Hangjin Rear Banner and Urad Back Banner,it is found that the soil calcium content in the four areas is generally low,and soil improvement can be carried out by applying exogenous calcium.The field experiment of desulphogypsum was carried out in the field of BayanNur Academy of Agricultural and Animal Husbandry Academy of Sciences.Alfalfa were grown in BayanNur field mixed soil and desulphogypsum at volume ratio at 10:0?9:1?6:4?3:7.The results showed that the yield of alfalfa in the experimental group was increased,especially the digestibility of Ca,crude protein and dry matter in vitro of alfalfa in the experimental group at 6:4 was significantly increased.This study provides a preliminary exploratory experimental basis for the improvement of BayanNur saline-alkali land and the utilization of desulphogypsum waste,and has important research significance.?5?Two hundred and twenty-three alfalfa samples collected from different areas were planted in nutritious soil and the mixture of nutrient soil and desulphogypsum at 6:4,and the feeding quality was analyzed.The results showed that the application of desulphogypsum could effectively improve the feeding quality of alfalfa.The results of feed quality analysis showed that No.3?No.41?No.125?No.128?No.138?No.139?No.142?No.144?No.146?No.179?No.210?No.213 and No.215 were premium alfalfa with good feeding quality.
