| Plant functional traits are a series of plant attributes that reflect the response mechanisms of plants to environmental changes. These plant properties are closely related to environmental factors such as precipitation, temperature, and light, and the efficiency of plant absorption and utilization of nutrients. In this paper, the specific leaf area(SLA),leaf thickness(LT),leaf dry matter mass(LDMC),leaf carbon content(LCC),leaf nitrogen content(LNC),and leaf phosphorus content(LPC)of the main tree species in the karst forest of Dawei Mountain The six leaf functional traits were investigated and sampled to discuss the variation characteristics of leaf functional traits of the main tree species in the Dawei Mountain Karst forest,as well as the effects of elevation gradients and soil elements on plant leaf functional traits.Vegetation restoration and reconstruction lay a scientific theoretical foundation. The main conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)In the Dawei Mountain karst area, the characteristic value of leaf functional trait of the main tree species varies widely, with the average specific leaf area of 218.341 cm~2/g,average leaf thickness of 0.421 mm,leaf dry matter mass of 0.337 g/g,leaf carbon content of 591.708 g/kg,leaf nitrogen content of 41.953 g/kg and leaf phosphorus content of 3.094 g/kg.In terms of the size of the variation, the specific leaf area, leaf nitrogen content, and leaf phosphorus content of the Dawei Mountain karst area are all moderately variable.Thickness, leaf dry matter quality and leaf carbon content are all weak variations. It shows that plants have different efficiency in allocating and using resources for various leaf functional traits when adapting to changes in the environment. The main tree species in the karst area of Dawei Mountain adopt resource acquisition strategies during the growth process.(2)Except for the specific leaf area, the leaf functional traits of the main tree species in the Karst area have no significant difference in altitude gradient. The remaining five leaf functional traits have significant differences between different altitudes. As the altitude gradient increases, the carbon content and phosphorus content of the leaves gradually decrease, while the nitrogen content of the leaves gradually increases, indicating that when the leaves lack carbon and phosphorus in high altitude areas, they will adopt a growth strategy to increase the nitrogen content of the leaves.(3)In the process of adapting to environmental changes, evergreen tree species adopt a slow-growing conservative strategy, while deciduous tree species adopt a fast-growing resource acquisition strategy. The changes of leaf functional traits of two different life forms of evergreen and deciduous trees on the altitude gradient except for the nitrogen content of the leaves showed a consistent change rule:with the elevation gradient showing a gradually increasing trend, the remaining five leaves The changing trends of traits are different.(4)The difference analysis results of the functional traits of each leaf of Fagaceae tree species on the four elevation gradients are consistent with the analysis results of the difference of the functional traits of the main tree species on the altitude gradient,on the change trend of the altitude gradient, except the leaf specific area and the leaf In addition to the carbon content, the remaining functional traits are consistent with the changes of the main tree species on the elevation gradient. This shows that the important tree species in the Karst area of the Dawei Mountain-the family of Fagaceae adapt to environmental changes and the survival strategies are consistent with other tree species.(5)In the Karst area of the Dawei Mountain, the soil factors that affect the functional traits of the main tree species are:total soil nitrogen content, soil organic matter, soil water content, and metal iron and aluminum elements. The soil factors affecting the growth of evergreen tree species are mainly soil total nitrogen, total phosphorus content, and soil ph.The soil factors affecting the growth of deciduous tree species are mainly soil total nitrogen content, soil p H,and metal iron elements.Deciduous tree species are more susceptible to soil factors. The growth of Fagaceae plants is mainly influenced by the content of iron and magnesium and the content of soil organic matter in karst area. |
