Landscaping plants play an important role in purifying the air,reducing the heat island effect,regulating the climate,and beautifying the city.Garden tree species are the main body of urban gardens,and its fire resistance research is an important part of forest fire resistance evaluation.Hohhot is rich in tree species and has excellent conditions for carrying out biological fire prevention.This paper takes Hohhot as the research area,and takes 21 major garden plants as research objects.Using statistical methods such as experimental analysis,fitting analysis,and principal component analysis,the physicochemical properties and pyrolysis characteristics of leaves,twigs,and large branches of garden plants are analyzed.The experimental analysis was conducted to study the comprehensive flame retardant properties of 21 kinds of garden plants,and the flame retardant properties were sorted and graded to provide a reference basis for the selection of fire prevention tree species in Hohhot and prevention of urban ecological security.The main conclusions are as follows:1.By measuring the physical and chemical properties of 21 kinds of garden plants and their indexes,the differences of different plants and different organs in these indexes were analyzed.The results show that the flame retardancy of garden plants varies greatly.The three organs of each tree species were combined to determine the weights of five indicators:absolute moisture content,crude fat,crude ash,ignition point,and caloric value.Berberis xinganensis,Rosa xanthina,Amygdalus triloba,Cotoneaster acutifolius,Weigela florida,lycium chinense can be used as strong fire-resistant trees.2.Based on thermogravimetric analysis,the thermal weightlessness of 21 garden plants was studied,and the results showed that the pyrolysis of 21 garden trees under the air atmosphere all went through the dehydration stage,rapid pyrolysis stage,and carbonization stage.Comprehensively,the order of thermal stability of the three organs of each tree species is wolfberry,and the lowest is elderberry.The highest P value of pyrolysis characteristic index is elderberry,and the smallest is wolfberry.Combined with the comprehensive analysis of thermal stability,ignition temperature and pyrolysis characteristic index,the Flueggea suffruticosa,Elaeagnus angustifolia,Amygdalus persica,Amygdalus triloba,and Acer stenolobum can be selected as the preferential tree species for fire resistance.3.Comprehensive research on 21 kinds of garden plants based on physical and chemical characteristics and thermal weightlessness.The order of their flame retardancy from strong to weak is lycium chinense,Cotoneaster acutifolius,Rosa xanthina,Amygdalus triloba,and Acer stenolobum,Sorbaria kirilowii,Weigela florida,Berberis xinganensis,Spiraea pubescens,Elaeagnus angustifolia,Tamarix chinensis,Amygdalus davidiana,Buddleja alternifolia,Morus mongolica,Flueggea suffruticosa,Amygdalus persica,Sambucus williamsii,Sambucus williamsii,Syringa reticulata,Buxus sinica,Sabina vulgaris.The results showed that 21 species of garden plants were first selected for fire resistance,including lycium chinense,Cotoneaster acutifolius,Rosa xanthina,Amygdalus triloba,Acer stenolobum,Sorbaria kirilowii,and Weigela florida.The flame retardancy of other garden plants is relatively poor.The research results can provide a certain theoretical basis for the selection of fire-resistant tree species in Inner Mongolia.
