With the acceleration of urbanization,the living standards of people have gradually improved;urban resident continues to increase and the population in each city becomes denser.Hence,the noise gradually affects our living environment no matter the noise is generated from people’s gathering or road traffic.For urban eco-environment and effect,and improvement of human habitat level,noise reduction and improvement of environment quality have become one of the important working contents in today’s urban construction.Through investigation and analysis of basic feature and vegetation quantity of Hohhot municipality gardening plant community and related noise reduction effect of plant community,this paper explored the correlation between both of them,aimed to provide efficient,scientific and rational construction method and established foundation to future urban green land construction.This paper chose various Hohhot municipality common gardening plant communities to conduct the investigation of basic feature and vegetation quantity,and used HS5660D precision noise spectrum analyzer to collect noise data in sample land.Through the analysis of data,it obtained the gardening plant disposition mode and community structure with the best noise reduction effect in experimental sample land and made a contrast between the amount of noise reduction(dB)and unit amount of noise reduction(dB/m)in spring and autumn in sample land.It used CI-202 LASER AREA METER leaf area meter and other instruments to collect data to all trees in 14 sample lands.It conducted research and analysis targeting to the relationship between tree’s basic feature,leaf area,leaf area index(LAI),vegetation quantity and noise reduction amount in sample land.Through the experimental analysis to investigation’s data,it made the following conclusions:1.After making a contrast between the amount of noise reduction and unit amount of noise reduction in 14 groups of sample lands,it found that the best sample land in terms of noise reduction was P12 sample land with 29.15 dB in total amount of noise reduction and 1.46 dB/m in unit amount of noise reduction.The plant types in this sample land were Chinese red pine,Needle juniper,China Savin,False acacia,Clove and Flowering plum.Then it was P11 sample land with 28.92 dB in total amount of noise reduction and 1.45 dB/m in unit amount of noise reduction.And the plant types in this sample land were Populus Alba,China Savin,Platycladus orientalis,Sorbaria sorbifolia,Clove and Flowering plum.2.Through the contrast experiment of noise reduction amount in spring and autumn,noise reduction amount in spring was obviously lower than it in autumn.The disparity of noise reduction amount in spring and autumn in P4 sample land was largest and it was smallest in P2 sample land.The plant disposition in P4 sample land was Pinus sylvestris var.mongolica Litv,Salix matsudana,Chinese honey locust,Chinese pagoda tree,which were made up of casuarina,deciduous arbor and deciduous shrub.The plant disposition in P4 sample land was Chinese red pine,Needle juniper,China Savin,False acacia,Clove and Lowering plum,which were made up of casuarina,deciduous arbor and deciduous shrub.It proved that leaf number of plant and index size of leaf area was the most critical factor determining its noise reduction effect.3.With experimental data,it analyzed and concluded that in sample land,the correlations between noise reduction amount and average vegetation quantity,average plant height,average leaf area,average leaf canopy,average leaf area index and average crown width were positive.With larger vegetation quantity of plant community,higher plant height,larger leaf area,longer leaf canopy,larger leaf area index and larger crown width,the noise reduction effect of plant community was higher.4.Statistical significance(=0.038)between average leaf area index and noise reduction amount was lower than 0.05.Hence among average vegetation quantity,average plant height,average leaf area,average leaf canopy,average leaf area index and average crown width,only average leaf area had significant correlation with noise reduction amount.Its univariate regression equation was:y=0.47x+10.34R2=0.31...
