| Health is the basis of high yield.There will be heavily involved between the health status of pigs and its growing environment.The aims of improving air quality in sow houses are to improve the health level of sows,prolong service life and promote the up-growth of piglets.This experiment firstly monitored the environmental parameters within the late pregnancy sows and lactating sows houses during summer and winter seasons,respectively,with a plasma purifiers.And then analyzed the immune parameters to evaluate the production performance of sows using sows blood and piglet cord blood.At last summarized the actual air quality data of the sow house.All of these provided reference material for improving the environmental quality of the sow house.1 Effect of purifier on air quality within late pregnancy sows house during different seasonsThis experiment was conducted to evaluate the influence of air purifiers on the air quality within late pregnancy sows house during summer and winter season,respectively.Two similar late pregnancy sow houses were selected for this experiment.The house equipped with the purifier and the UV lamp device was designated as the purification house.Another house was designated as the control house.And the purifying devices were always in working condition during the whole test period.The ambient temperature,humidity,solid particles and microorganisms concentration of sow houses were determinated at 9:00,13:00,and 17:00 every day,respectively.The results showed that using purifier in pregnant sow house in summer season could significantly reduce the concentration of PM2.5 and PM10 at 13:00(P<0.05).But the numbers of airborne aerobes and colibacillus during three time points did not show significant difference;Compared to the summer,the concentration of solid particles and harmful microorganisms greatly increased in winter,among which the airborne aerobic bacteria even exceeded the scope of national standards in control house,however the purifiers installed sow houses was significantly reduced the concentrations of PM2.5,PM10,aerobic bacteria and colibacillus.In summary,installing purification device in sow house appropriately at midday in summer and winter seasons could effectively reduce the concentration of harmful substances and improve the air quality of the late pregnancy sows house.2 Effect of purifiers on air quality within lactating sows house during different seasonsThis experiment was also conducted in both summer and winter season,respectively,with two aims total.One was conducted to evaluate the influence of air purifiers on the air quality within lactating sows house in summer season;And another one was to evaluate the influence of both air purifiers and ventilation on the air quality of lactating sows house in winter season.During the lactating period,two similar lactating sow houses were selected in the summer,one of which equipped with plasma air purifier and the UV lamp was set as purification house,and the equipment were always in working condition during the test period.The other one was set as the control house;During the winter,three enclosed lactating sow houses with windows were selected for the test.The first house equipped with the purifying installation was designated as the purification house.The second house was designated as the ventilation house with its window opened 2 cm for ventilation.And the last untreated house was designated as the control house.The solid particles,harmful gases and microorganisms concentration of sow house were determinated at 9:00,13:00 and 17:00 every day,respectively.The results indicated that as the increase of the number of piglets,so did the harmful environmental parameters within sows houses in summer.During the lactation period,purity treatment could significantly inhibit the concentration of PM2.5 and PM10(P<0.05).At 13:00 and 17:00,the concentrations of NH3 and N2O were also significantly reduced(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference between the concentrations of airborne aerobes and colibacillus;Compared to the control house,the concentration of solid particles(including PM2.5 and PM10)and the content of harmful gas,such as CO2 and NH3 in purification house were significantly decreased in winter season(P<0.05).In addition,the number of pathogenic microorganisms was also markedly cut down under purification treatment(P<0.05).The air quality in ventilation house was better than the other two houses,whereas its indoor temperature was slightly lower than purification house.In conclusion,Both installing purification device in summer season and ventilation treatment by opening the window appropriately at daytime in winter could effectively improve the air quality of lactating sows house.3 Effect of purification on immunity indexes of sows blood and piglets cord blood and reproductive performance of sows during different seasonsDuring the summer and winter,eight piglets of healthy and well-being Suhuai sows were selected randomly in the purification house and the control house respectively.The cord blood of the piglets were sampled during the piglets were born,and after the test was finished,the corresponding sows blood were sampled from the ear vein.The number of born piglets and healthy piglets in each test sow were recorded to evaluate the reproductive performance of sows.The results showed that the concentration of IL10,SOD,and NO in the decontamination house was significantly higher than that in the control house during the summer season.There was a significant difference between the weaning weight of the 40-day-old piglets and the weaned individuals(P<0.05);The SOD concentration was significantly higher than that of the control sows(P<0.01),and the concentration of IL10,NO,and TNF-α in the decontamination house also increased significantly(P<0.05).The cord blood of piglets did not show the significantly different.The weight of piglets in the ventilation house was lower than the control house at 20-day-old,and reached a difference level after 40 days(P<0.05).In summary,installing a purifier in a sows house could increase the immunity of the sows and maintain the healthy growth of the piglets,but ventilation in winter season was adverse for the piglet growth. |
