Induced defense refers to the defense mechanism that is activated when plants are injured, including direct defense and indirect defense.Studies have shown that stinging mouthparts usually induce plant salicylic acid pathways in insect feeding.Aphis citricolavander,Panonychus ulmi and Amphitetranychus viennensisare all important pests(mites)in orchards. In the previous investigation of orchard pests and diseases in our laboratory,it was found that in the apple orchards where aphids were serious, the incidence of apple mite was relatively mild.No studies have been conducted on the interaction between A.citricolavander and mite.It is hypothesized that aphid feeding induces apple-induced defense, which inhibits the growth and development of the aphid mite.To test this hypothesis, understand mediated by apple A.citricolavander and the relationship between leaf mites, this experiment aphids feeding induction and early application of the apple tree defense reaction induced by exogenous salicylic acid to study the influence of the growth of apple leaf mites, determination of aphid feeding and apple tree leaves after induction of salicylic acid related defense enzyme activity change. To investigate the effect of aphid and salicylic acid-induced apple tree defense system on apple mite. The results of this study can not only verify the rationality of the above hypothesis, but also provide a new idea for the prevention and control of apple mite. The specific results are as follows:1.Effects of apple defense induced by A.citricolavander feeding and exogenous salicylic acid treatment on the development of A.viennensisA.viennensis was fed on apple seedlings treated with exogenous salicylic acid and A.citricolavander.The individual growth and development and population number were observed and recorded. The results showed that the feeding of A.citricolavander and the treatment with two concentrations of exogenous salicylic acid significantly extended the totaldevelopmental duration of A.viennensis.From the developmental duration of each mite state,it is not that the greater the concentration, the more obvious the effect.A.citricolavander feeding and two concentrations of exogenous salicylic acid inhibited the population growth of A.viennensis.In terms of the total quantity, the inhibition effect of A.citricolavander on feeding was the most obvious, followed by the treatment with 1.0 mmol/L exogenous salicylic acid.2.Effects of apple defense induced by A.citricolavander feeding and exogenous salicylic acid treatment on the development of P.ulmiP.ulmi was fed on apple seedlings treated with exogenous salicylic acid and A.citricolavander.The individual growth and development and population number were observed and recorded. The results showed that aphid feeding and treatment with two concentrations of exogenous salicylic acid significantly extended the total developmental duration of P.ulmi.The effect of exogenous salicylic acid treatment on the developmental duration of P.ulmi was greater than that of aphid feeding. The feeding of A.citricolavander and the treatment of 1.0 mmol/L exogenous salicylic acid significantly inhibited the population growth of P.ulmi.The inhibition effect of A.citricolavander feeding was the most obvious. It is not that the inhibition effect is better with the higher the concentration of salicylic acid, and the inhibition effect of the treatment with 1.0 mmol/L exogenous salicylic acid is better than that with 2.0 mmol/L exogenous salicylic acid.3.Effects of A.citricolavander feeding and exogenous salicylic acid treatment on defense enzyme activity of apple seedlingsThe activities of apple polyphenol oxidase, peroxidase and phenylalanine ammonia-lyase increased after aphis feeding and exogenous salicylic acid treatment. The activity of apple polyphenol oxidase and peroxidase reached the maximum value after the treatment of 1.0 mmol/L exogenous salicylic acid for 24 h,and the activity of apple phenylalanine ammonia-lyase reached the maximum value after the treatment of 1.0 mmol/L exogenous salicylic acid for 48 h.After the treatment of 1.0 mmol/L exogenous salicylic acid, apple defense enzyme activity reached a higher peak value, while after the feeding of apple yellow aphid and the treatment of 2.0 mmol/L exogenous salicylic acid, apple defense enzyme activity increased more steadily.
