| With the development of agricultural production in China,it is the only way for corn production to realize full mechanization.The lodging is one of the main factors to limit mechanized harvest and cause yield reduction in corn production.Therefore,some character related with antilodging were conducted in this study in order to provide basis for breeding resistant lodging varieties.The materials used were skeleton inbred lines of Redi group,elite inbred lines of NoReid and DOM groups and their crosses.The skeleton inbred lines with different anti-lodging ability included PH6 WC,M03,KWCB1,J1495 and PHGJ4.The elite inbred lines were consisted of M5972,PH4 CV,J9D207,KWMM31,J1668 and J1673.Some characters associated with anti-lodging of these inbred lines,such as aerial root,were determined.The research results are as follows: 1.The average aerial root angle of 30 cross combinations was 52.33°,the variation range was 68.33°.Among these crosses,the crosses of K12 and K6 had the largest angle,which had a significant positive correlation with lodging resistance.The correlation coefficient was 0.8838**.The average number of aerial roots was 16.83,and the variation range was 14.75-19.5,which had no significant correlation with lodging resistance.The average diameter of aerial root was 5.06 mm and the variation range was 4.09-6.09 mm.The maximum of K6 cross was 6.09 mm.It had a significant positive correlation with the lodging resistance.The correlation coefficient was 0.8532**.The average radius of aerial root grab was 4.39 cm,and the variation range was 3.22-5.11 cm.The combination of K27 was maximum,which had a significant positive correlation with lodging resistance.Its correlation coefficient was 0.7229**.2 、 2.The results of 30 hybrid combinations showed that the average mid-parental heterosis of the angle of aerial roots was 51.57%,the average super-parental heterosis was 25.79%,and the combination K17 was maximum in both the mid-parent heterosis and super-parent heterosis.The average mid-parental heterosis of the diameter of aerial roots was 10.15%,the average super-parental heterosis was-4.70%,and the cross K17 was still maximum in both the midparent heterosis and super-parent heterosis.The average mid-parental heterosis of aerial root grab radius was-1.79%,the average super-parental heterosis was-8.99%.The cross K17 was still maximum.The average mid-parental and super-parental heterosis of yield per plant were 91.52 % and 72.50 %,respectively.The highest positive mid-parental and super-parental heterosis was cross K29(PHGJ4/J1668)and cross K14(M03/KWMM31)was the second.3 、 The general combining ability analysis stated that among 11 skeleton inbred lines,the cross with the highest general combining ability in angle,diameter,grab radius of aerial root was cross J1673.And the cross PH6 WC was the highest in yield per plant.The analysis of special combining ability revealed that the crosses with the highest special combining ability in angle,diameter,grab radius of aerial root and yield per plant among 30 crosses were K28(PHGJ4/PH4CV),K11(KWCB1/J1668),K27(PHGJ4/J9D207)and K19(J1595/M5972),respectively.According to resul of the special combining ability about 4 characters of anti-lodging,both of K14(M03/KWMM31)and K28(PHGJ4/PH4CV)were the best. |
