Hebei Province is one of the water shortage areas in China.Agricultural water consumption is large and the water use efficiency is low.In the Hebei Plain, the application of whole field soil plastic mulching?hereinafter referred to as mulching?irrigation and water-saving technology planting mode of winter wheat is conducive to the sustainable development with saving cost and reducing consumption of agricultural production. The experiment was carried out in Gaocheng,Hebei Province from 2017 to2018.It includes filming water treatment experiment and population regulation experiment,an study the effects of mulching irrigation on soil water and heat environment, growth and water use efficiency of winter wheat.By adjusting sowing date and sowing rate to construct a reasonable group structure and explore the applicability of this model. The results are as follows:?1?Compared with bare land, from sowing to jointing, mulching can increase soil temperature of 020 cm by 0.41.05°C and moisture of deep soil?100200 cm?by6.5%9.1%.In the late growth stage, the mulching did not show a warming effect, and there was no significant difference on soil water storage between mulching and bare land. The effect of population regulation on soil moisture is not obvious.?2?The mulching can greatly increase the LAI and dry matter accumulation of winter wheat,But flag leaf water potential and net photosynthetic rate decrease with the decrease of supplemental irrigation.Late sowing can effectively control the growth of winter wheat before winter, and the net photosynthetic rate of winter wheat flag leaves is the highest in sparse sowing(basic seedling:about 4.95 million·hm-2).The dense sowing(basic seedling:about 5.7 million·hm-2)has adverse effects on the growth of winter wheat.?3?There was no significant difference on yield between mulching irrigation37.5mm and 75mm and bare land irrigation 75mm and 150mm.Compared with bare land, water consumption of mulching could be reduced by 5090 mm,and water use efficiency could be increased by 19.1%35.0%.The combination of late sowing and sparse sowing has the highest yield and water use efficiency. Therefore,in the winter wheat planting area of production conditions similar with the experimental area, the cultivation combination of late sowing and sparse sowing is better for whole field soil plastic mulching winter wheat.Supplementary irrigation37.5mm once or twice at jointing and flowering stages is beneficial to the growth of Winter Wheat.
