Wild kudzu vines and sweet potato vines were widely distributed and highly producted in Guizhou provice,and the sika deer has good palatability.In the study,the effects of wild kudzu vines and sweet potato vines on antler production-index were explored by feeding experiments.The effects of different green fodder to the expression of C-myc and IGF-1 genes were investigated by qPCR method.The effects of different green fodder on enzyme activity and different climatic factors to antler production performance were analysed.The effects of different climate factors on antler production of sika deer were analyzed by recording temperature and humidity.The purpose of this study was to find the methods to increase the deer antler production.The research results are as follows:1.The conventional nutrient compositions of wild kudzu vines and sweet potato vines were tested.Based on the principle of energy equivalent,the ratio of adjunction green fodder in the sika deer feed was that sweet potato vines are 1.04 foldder and wild kudzu vinesare 1.15 foldder Silage corn straw.2.The weight of the first and second cutting antler showed wild kudzu vine group bigger than sweet potato vine group and they both bigger than control group,and the weight of antler gain was more distinctness in wild kudzu vines,which was significantly different from the control group?P<0.05?.From the analysis of the first cutting antler,the wild kudzu vine group was superior more than the sweet potato vines and the control group.The antler girth index of the sweet potato vine group and the control group was significant difference?P<0.05?.3.The expression of C-myc gene was down-regulated in the wild kudzu vine group and the sweet potato vine group,and were significant difference compared with the control group?P<0.05?.There was no significant difference between wild kudzu vine group and sweet potato vine group?P>0.05?.The expression of IGF-1 gene was up-regulated in wild kudzu vines group,and that down-regulated in the sweet potato vines group,the wild kudzu vines group and the control group was extremely significant different from the sweet potato vines group?P<0.01?,the wild kudzu vine group and the control group was significant different?P<0.05?.4.The contents of ALT,AST,AIB,LDH and HBDH have difference in blood and shown in follows:control group less than sweet potato vine group which less than wild kudzu vines group.The contents of ALP and GLB were that control group bigger than sweet potato vines group which bigger than wild kudzu vines group.The index of ATL and ALP in the control group was significantly difference with the sweet potato vines group?P<0.05?,which was extremely significant different with wild kudzu vines group?P<0.01?.The index of AST and HBDH in the control group was extremely significant sweet potato vines group?P<0.01?,and that was significantly different from wild kudzu vines group.There was no significant difference with all group between the AIB and GLB?P>0.05?.The index of LDH in the control group was significantly different with wild kudzu vine group and the sweet potato vine group?P<0.05?.5.The ratio of antler production divide fodder consumption were respectively1.67×10-3,1.40×10-3,1.27×10-3,and the antler input-output ratios were respectively0.406,0.472 and 0.447,in wild kudzu vine group,sweet potato vine group and control group.With greater of the ratio of antler production divide fodder consumption or the lower the ratio of input-output,it indicated that the economic benefits are better.6.The optimum temperature for shedding of sika deer plate was 15°C,and the temperature suitable for antler growth was 1024°C.The earliest time of shedding of sika deer plate in Guizhou Province was in the middle and late March,and that concentrated in the middle and early April,and the duration of shedding of sika deer plate was 3050d.The time of the first cut antler was in the middle of early May,and that concentrated in the middle and late May and the middle and early June,the duration of cut antler was about 60d.The time of the second cutting antler concentrated the end of July and early August,and the growth time of the second cutting antler was 6070d.
