Potato is a major crop in the world.Every year,the improper potato storage causes a huge economic loss.Camphor was used to inhibit the germination of potato tubers in this research.The physiological indexes were determined and the related differentially expressed proteins(DEPs)were validated by qRT-PCR technology.The main conclusions were as follows:(1)The camphor treatment had an obvious inhibitory effect on four varieties of potato which compared with the control.With the camphor treatment,the bud points were less and the bud length were shorter.The top part of some potato tuber buds were turning black which means necrosis.Six physiological indices were measured and there was no significant difference between camphor treatment and control(2)Dormancy(M1),sprouted(M2)and camphor treatment(M3)tuber samples of Favorita potato were taken for iTRAQ quantitative analysis.We found the number of DEPs were 213 in M1/M2,416 in M1/M3 and 315 differential proteins in M2/M3.(3)With the GO annotation analysis of DEPs,these proteins were divided into three ontology which namely cellular processes,biological process and molecular function.We analysised the GO secondary classified of DEPs.In M1/M2,DEPs involved in three types of cellular processes,six types of molecular functions and six types of biological processes.In M1/M3,DEPs involved in seven types of cellular processes,seven types of molecular functions and eight types of biological processes.In M2/M3,DEPs involved in four types of cellular processes,six types of molecular functions and seven types of biological processes.(4)Differential proteins of M1/M2,M1/M3 and M2/M3 mainly located in the cytoplasm,chloroplast and nuclei.In the GO enrichment analysis,DEPs were mainly significantly enriched in the term of translation in M1/M2.DEPs were mainly significantly enriched in the term of biological process regulation in M1/M3.DEPs were mainly significantly enriched in the term of response to biotic stimulus in M1/M2.In the KEGG pathway enrichment,DEPs of M1/M2,M1/M3,M2/M3 were mainly significantly enriched ribosome.(5)We used qRT-PCR technology to validate fifteen randomly selected DEPs.The gene and protein expression levels of thirteen DEPs were consistent,but there were two DEPs were not consistent.
