| Parasitosis is a kind of common and frequent diseases that harm rare wild animals. Many wild animals are disturbed by this disease. In recent years, due to the emergence of nature reserves and captive wildlife parks, wild animal diseases, especially parasitic diseases, have shown an increasing trend. The public health and social problems brought about by the potential risk of human and animal parasites to prevent the spread of parasites among wild animals and to the population are receiving increasing attention. There are as many as 536 kinds of wild animals in the captivity of Guiyang Forest Wildlife Park, which contains the vast majority of wild animal species. The investigation of parasitic diseases in Guiyang Forest Wildlife Park has never been reported. Therefore, the investigation of parasite infection in Guiyang Forest Wildlife Park is of great significance. This study systematically investigated the parasitic diseases of wild animals in Guiyang Forest Wildlife Park by means of fecal sampling.Concluded as follow:1.The most serious parasites of herbivorous wild animals in Guiyang Forest Wildlife Park are Llama,Taurotragus oryx and Cervus nippon, and their infection rate is as high as 100 %;Followed by Vicugna pacos,Pseudois nayaur and Kangaroo, the infection rate is 80 %,75 %and 67 % respectively;Gervus albirostris and Elephantidae have the lowest rates of infection,33 per cent and 17 per cent, respectively. The most infected parasite species are roundworms, accounting for 42.9% of the total number of infections;Followed by round nematodes and hookworms, accounting for 21.4% and 14.3% of the total number of infections, respectively; The parasite species with the least infection are protozoa, cocci and flukes. All three parasites account for 3.6 % of the total number of infections.Parasite infections in herbivorous wild animals at different ages are generally manifested in adult wild animals(82.7 %)> juvenile wild animals(17.3 %).2.The most serious infection of carnivorous wild animal parasite species in Guiyang Forest Wildlife Park is Vulpes vulpes, with a infection rate of up to 100 %;Followed byPanthera tigris Amoyensis and Canis lupus, the infection rate of both is 75 %;The least infected is the Panthera pardus, whose infection rate is 40 %.In terms of infected parasites, the most infected parasite species are roundworms, accounting for 38.1 % of the total number of infections;Followed by round nematodes and hookworms, accounting for 33.3%and 14.3% respectively of the total number of infections; The parasite species with the least infection are protozoa and cocci. Both parasites account for 4.8 % of the total number of infections.Panthera tigris did not find parasites.3.The infection rate of parasites in different types of omnivorous wild animals is quite different, and the infection rate of Ursus arctos pruinosus parasite is the highest, and the infection rate is 100.0 %;Followed by Ursus arctos, the infection rate is 60.0 %,and the lowest parasite infection rate is Ailuropoda melanoleuca, the infection rate is 38.0 %;Neither Ursus thibetanus nor Hystrix hodgsoni were found to be infected with parasites. In terms of the type of parasite infected, wild animals have the highest number of roundworms, accounting for 37.5 % of the total number of infections;Followed by round nematodes and hookworms, both of which were 25.0 % of the total number of infections;Carnivorous wild animals have not found protozoa and cocci infections. The infection rate of parasites in omnivorous wild animals is: Ursus arctos pruinosus(100.0%)> Ursus arctos(60 %)>Ailuropoda melanoleuca(38 %)> Ursus thibetanus(0)= Hystrix hodgsoni(0).4.The most serious infection of parasites in the wild primates of Guiyang Forest Wildlife Park is the Rhinopithecus, whose infection rate is 75.0 %;Followed by Hylobates hoolock, the infection rate was 71.4 %;The lowest incidence of parasites is Trachypithecus francoisi, where the infection rate is 40.0 %.In terms of the type of parasite infected, wild animals have the largest number of roundworms, accounting for 30 % of the total number of infections;Followed by round nematodes, the infection rate of protozoa and cocci was 3 %,and no hookworm and fluke infections were found in primate feeding wild animals. The order of parasite infection rate of various primate wild animal species is:Rhinopithecus(75.0 %)> Hylobates hoolock(57.1%)> Lemur catta(50.0%)=Mandrillussphinx(50.0%)= Erythrocebus patas(50.0 %)> Trachypithecus francoisi(40.0 %).5.The most serious parasite infection among poultry wild animals in the Guiyang ForestWildlife Park is Dromaius novaehollandiae, and its infection rate is 40.0 %;Followed by Struthio camelus, the infection rate is 20.0%;The lowest incidence of parasites is Anthracoceros albirostris, whose infection rate is only 15.0 %.No infected parasites have been found in Grus japonensis and Psittaciformes. In terms of the type of parasite infected, wild animals have the highest number of roundworms, accounting for 9 % of the total number of infections;Followed by flukes are 4%,and the infection rate of round nematodes, hookworms, protozoa, and cocci. The order of parasite infection rate of each bird wild animal species is: Dromaius novaehollandiae(40.0 %)> Struthio camelus(20.0 %)> Anthracoceros albirostris(15.0 %)> Grus japonensis(0)= Psittaciformes(0).6.The most serious parasite infection among all kinds of wild animals in Guiyang Forest Wildlife Park is carnivorous wild animals, with a infection rate of up to 65 %(21/33);Followed by herbivorous wild animals, the infection rate is 60%(28/41);The lowest incidence of parasites among all types of wild animals is among poultry wild animals, with a rate of infection of only 12.7 %(7/55).The order of parasite infection rate of various types of wild animals in Guiyang Forest Wildlife Park is: carnivorous wild animals(65%)> herbivorous wild animals(60%)> primate wild animals(51.5%)> omnivorous wild animals(36%)> Poultry wild animals(12.7 %). |
