Honeybee is an extremely important economic insect,as well as a model organism of eusocial insects,of which the dance language is the characteristic of its social behaviors.To study the mechanism that how they obtain this dance behavior,young colonies made up of completely newly emerged workers were organized and their waggle dances were compared with that in natural colonies.To further study the molecular mechanism of dance behavior,proteomics and phosphoproteomics of dancing honeybees and workers of the same age as the dancing forager but not dancing(WD/DZ),dancing honeybees and newly emerged workers(WD/CF)were studied to find out what causes the ethological differences.The main results were as follows:1.When the food source was more than 100 m away,duration of waggle dance of young colonies was significantly longer(P<0.01)than that of natural colonies of the same species,but there was no difference(P>0.05)between angels in one circle.2.4,047 proteins were identified.The number of up-regulated proteins and down-regulated proteins between WD/DZ was 41?54,respectively,while between WD/CF was 189?310,respectively.Between WD/DZ,the pathway enrichment of up-regulated proteins were mainly related to lipids metabolism and carbohydrates metabolism.Between WD/CF,the pathways were lipids metabolism and carbohydrates metabolism.3.10,119 phosphosites from 2,602 proteins identified,of which the sites only included serine,threonine,tyrosine,and the percentage were 84.20%,14.83% and 0.97%,respectively.170 phosphosites from 120 proteins were up-regulated between WD/DZ,and 239 phosphosites from 132 proteins were down-regulated.Between WD/CF,the figure were 619 from 400,553 form 265,respectively.Between WD/DZ,up-regulated proteins were mainly related to lipids metabolism.The results indicate that,the dance language is mainly obtained by inheritance.There is “dialect” between Aml and Acc.The dance behavior is an energy-consuming process,therefore,KEGG pathways related to energy metabolism are significantly up-regulated.
