It is worth mentioning that waxy sorghum has great advantages in biomass energy.Screening out the varieties of waxy sorghum with salt and alkali tolerance will greatly improve the development and utilization of vast saline-alkali land in our country.At the same time,it will play a more positive role in the development of ethanol industry with sorghum as raw material.Among them,waxy sorghum is an indispensable raw material in the brewing process of famous Chinese liquor,such as Maotai and Wuwu.Grain juice and Luzhou Laojiao are mainly made of glutinous sorghum [5].At the same time,previous studies on salt-tolerant crops are more systematic,such as rice [6-8],maize [9-11],wheat [12-14],whether from salt-tolerant varieties screening or salt-tolerant related genes and mechanisms.At present,there are few studies on salt-tolerant stress of waxy sorghum,so we began to screen the existing waxy sorghum germplasms,in order to further rapidly improve agronomic properties.The shape and so on all have the foundation function.In order to understand the response of different waxy sorghum varieties to NaCl solution of different concentration and provide theoretical basis for screening waxy sorghum varieties with higher salt tolerance,we used the seeds of conventional waxy sorghum Luzhou Hong1,hybrid waxy sorghum Jinnuo sorghum 1 and machine waxy sorghum 1 as experimental materials,and carried out seed germination tests at 50,100,150,200,250,300 mmol/L NaCl concentration,and determined different NaCl concentration.The effects on Germination potential,germination rate,germination index,vigor index,seed fresh weight,root fresh weight,stem and leaf fresh weight,bud length,root length and root-shoot ratio were studied.The results showed that different concentrations of salt stress had different inhibitory effects on the germination potential,germination rate,bud length,root length,fresh weight of stems and leaves of waxy sorghum,and the performance of different varieties of waxy sorghum was also different.When NaCl concentration was 100 mmol/L or above,the treatment of different varieties of waxy sorghum showed negative growth effect compared with the control,indicating that these varieties were not salt tolerant.Under the same concentration of salt solution treatment,the physiological indexes of Jinnuo sorghum No.1 and Luzhou red No.1 were severely damaged by salt,which indicated that the two varieties were more sensitive to salt stress.Compared with the salt damage index,the seed biomass and seedling morphological index of Chuannuoliang No.1 decreased the smallest with the increase of salt solution concentration,which indicated that Chuannuoliang No.1 had stronger salt tolerance than the other two varieties.At the same time,there were obvious differences among different varieties treated with 150-200 mmol/L NaCl solution,which could be used to screen salt concentration of salt-tolerant and waxy Sorghum Germplasms at germination stage.Chuannuoliang 1 had stronger salt tolerance than other varieties.150-200 mmol/L NaCl solution treatment could be used to screen salt concentration of salt-tolerant waxy Sorghum Germplasm at germination stage.In order to screen and identify saline-alkali tolerant waxy liquor-making sorghum varieties for practical production,138 different waxy sorghum varieties were used as materials,and the materials were composed of stable restorer line(WR),parent line(P),sterile line(A),maintainer line(B),45/3560,54/172 and other hybrid combinations of multi-system materials.Salt stress and normal(control)were determined at a certain concentration.Under the conditions,12 characters of waxy sorghum seedlings,such as germination potential,germination rate,bud length,root length,mesotyl length,coleoptile length,fresh weight of stem and leaf,fresh weight of root,fresh weight of seed,dry weight of stem and leaf,dry weight of root and dry weight of seed,were measured by the relative value of each character of the experimental group and the control,and salt tolerance index of waxy Sorghum Germplasm germination period was carried out based on these indexes.The salt and alkali tolerance of 138 different waxy sorghum varieties was evaluated by standard analysis,principal component analysis,membership function analysis,regression equation analysis and cluster analysis.The results showed that salt stress had significant effects on 14 salt tolerance indices of waxy Sorghum at germination stage.At the same time,it was found that there were significant genotype differences in salt tolerance of different varieties of waxy sorghum.Through comparative analysis,138 germplasms could be divided into five types: high salt tolerance,salt tolerance,moderate salt tolerance,salt tolerance and high salt tolerance,of which 8 were highly salt tolerant.WR11,WR50,WR54,P27,P31,P131,A22,A73 accounted for 6% of the total,and 24 highly salt-tolerant germplasms accounted for 17% of the total.WR1,WR3,WR4,WR5,WR9,WR17,WR30,WR39,P83,P129,P142,P156,P186,P284,B7,B11,A18,A25,A28,A30,A64,respectively.The most salt-tolerant germplasms selected in this study were WR11(213R),WR50(R108),WR54(Hui1),P27(Guizhou),P31(1269R),P131(Hui1),A22(15BC29),A73(M1AB),and germination potential,germination rate,vigor index,root length,mesotyl length,fresh weight of stem and leaf,fresh weight of root,fresh weight of seed,dry weight of stem and leaf,dry weight of root,dry weight of seed.Weight can be used as an index for sorghum salt-tolerant varieties selection.Salt-tolerant ability of sorghum seedlings can be predicted according to multiple stepwise regression equation Y=0.195+0.002X1+0.001X2+0.552X4-0.078X6+0.083X7+0.125X9+0.045X10+0.093X11-0.039X12+0.029X13+0.014X14.
