| The evaluation and selection of parents and progeny is the important content of the upgrade and reconstruction seed orchard.The study used the parents and progeny of F.mandshurica.seed orchard as materials,which was in Sanchazi,Jilin Province.The growth traits,wood traits,cold resistance,seed cone traits of parents and the growth traits of offspring for many years were determined and analyzed.The genetic variations of different materials were studied,and the parents and offspring were evaluated and selected.The research results are as follows.(1)The growth characters of tree height and DBH of 233 parent clones of F.mandshurica.were measured,and the results showed that the ANOVA of all the traits had an extremely significant difference(P<0.01).The variation coefficients of phenotypic of different traits ranged from 14.50~66.07%,respectively.The results of path analysis showed that DBH had the greatest influence on volume,and the path coefficient was 0.797.There existed significant positive correlation among different traits.Based on 10%selected rate,according to tree height,diameter at breast height,crown breadth and volume to evaluated the families,24 clones were selected as elite clones.The genetic tree height,diameter at breast height,crown breadth and volume of elite clones genetic gain were 6.69%,14.33%,19.46 and38.18%,respectively(2)The wood propertiess of 54 parent cions of F.mandshurica.were tested and analyzed.The result suggested that In addition to cellulose,holocellulose,lignin and wood density,there were an extremely significant difference between different wood properties,the variation coefficients of phenotypic ranged from 7.21?45.49%,the repeatabilities ranged from 0.0081~0.8584,which showed in addition to holocellulose,lignin that there existed relatively abundant variation.Among them,fiber width was significantly correlated with wood density,lignin content was significantly correlated with cellulose content,holocellulose content,cellulose content was significantly correlated with holocellulose cellulose content,and fiber length was significantly correlated with fiber width and fiber aspect ratio(P<0.01).Using the multi-traits comprehensive evaluation method,with the selection rate of 10%,The growth and wood properties of 54 clones were evaluated.Clones 128,90,100,88 and 86 were selected as excellent clones,the genetic gain of DBH,volume,fiber length and fiber width were 11.49%、23.45%、35.32%and 10.59%,respectively(3)Preliminary experiments to explore the parent clones of electrolyte chanaes in response to phenotypic characters of 30 parent clonal seeds of F.mandshurica.were analyzed,and the results showed that there were significant differences among the characters of different clonal seeds(P<0.01).The variation coefficients of phenotypic ranged from 9.98%~29.68%,the repeatabilities ranged from 0.9608(seed width)~0.9999(1000-seeds weight),belonging to high heritability.Based on the combination of 1000-seed weight and seed length width,the joint selection was carried out with a 10%acceptance rate.The selected clones 30,16 and 92 were selected as excellent families,and the genetic gains of seed length,seed width and 1000-seeds weight were 1.55%、21.29%and 53.67%,respectively(5)75 half-sib families of F.mandshurica in 16 years old were taken as materials tree height,breast height were investigated in the 16th growth years.ANOVA analysis showed that there exist significant different among families in different variation source(P<0.01).The variation coefficients of phenotypic and heritabilities of different traits ranged from 22.20~63.30%and 0.794~0.981,respectively.There existed significant positive correlation among different traits.Based on 10%selected rate,according to tree height,diameter at breast height and volume to evaluated the families,8 families were selected as elite families.Tree height,diameter at breast height genetic gain were 4.68%,8.06%andl6.04%,respectivelyIn this study,genetic variation analysis was carried out on the gro,wth traits,wood properties,cold resistance of the parent clones and offspring growth traits of F.mandshurica.Preliminary selected growth characters of 24 superior clones,best wood properties of 5 clones,excellent cold resistance of 18 clones,superior seed traits of 3 clones and 8 families had good growth traits of progeny,the srowth traits and cold resistance are excellent clone 215,primary materials can provide basis for promotion,can also be used for F.mandshurica seed orchard upgrading.
