Accurate,comprehensive,real-time and long-distance monitoring of crop growth environment and ontology information is the basic requirement of modern agricultural production management and scientific research.In recent years,the rapid development of agricultural Internet of Things has brought many conveniences for related research and application,but it still faces many problems.In view of the shortcomings of sensor nodes,transmission modes and network platforms in the agricultural Internet of Things,a crop monitoring system is designed.The system uses new circuit and module to design sensors and acquisition nodes,WiFi and GPRS mixed communication mode and OneNET open platform.The chief content and result are listed as below.(1)A new type of ultra-low power,ultra-low cost and high integration WiFi module is used to design the multi-parameter acquisition node of crop environment and the micro-change acquisition node of stalk.They avoid the external MCU,thus the power consumption,cost and volume of the node is reduced.A new portable acquisition module of crop blade resistance based on STM32 MCU is developed to resistance measure crop leaf resistance accurately.And it can seamlessly access the monitoring system due to its supporting of WiFi function.The OV7670 CMOS camera is used as the crop image acquisition node and mounted on the relay A20 module.Acquisition node monitor crop information timely,and it will enter dormancy mode(ultra-low power consumption)when it is not working,deduce low power consumption to the extreme.(2)A new type of WiFi terminal and GPRS relay module are used to develop the crop monitoring system using the mixed communication mode of WiFi and GPRS.The local area network is composed of WiFi protocol between sensor node and relay module.The sensor node transmits data to relay module through TCP/IP protocol,and the relay module connects to the Internet through GPRS.(3)Using a free and open Internet of Things platform OneNET in China Mobile as the network platform of crop monitoring system.It reduces the cost of research,development,operation and maintenance.The relay node A20 module receives sensor information through WiFi(TCP/IP protocol)and can connect with camera module.The WiFi part of A20 controls GPRS part by AT command to establish TCP connection with OneNET platform,transmits data and images through the special EDP protocol of OneNET platform,and realizes data sending and photographing control of OneNET platform.(4)The system was used to monitor potted tomatoes.The relationship between soil water,stem diameter and leaf resistance content was analyzed and the method of monitoring crop water stress and water deficit was discussed.The crop monitoring system can collect information such as air temperature and humidity,light intensity,soil temperature and humidity,soil conductivity,soil pH value,crop stalk micro-change,crop leaf resistance and crop image.It has the characteristics of comprehensive monitoring,high performance-price ratio,easy access of sensor nodes,good platform versatility and so on.It is suitable for greenhouse crop production management and crop research.
