Cyclocarya paliurus has good health function such as hypoglycemic and lipid-lowering,but there is no varieties selected for medicinal effects.Based on the field reconnaissant survey,investigating the main Cyclocarya paliurus natural forests in Wuxi Mountain in Yixian County,Qingliang Mountain in Jixi County,Tiantang Mountain in Jinzhai County,Tianzhu Mountain in Qianshan City,and Guniujiang Mountain in Shitai County.determined the excellent selection standard of Cyclocarya paliurus,and selected the superior individual of Cyclocarya paliurus,and based on the dynamic changes of the main inclusions,Find out the suitable conditions for the medicinal Cyclocarya paliurus,and lay the foundation for the cultivation and variety breeding of Cyclocarya paliurus.The main results were as follows:(1)After field investigation of the Cyclocarya paliurus germplasm resources in the wild,the tree growth(tree height,DBH,and branch height)was used as the main evaluation factor,and 23 primary selected trees were original selection.(2)For the primary selection of superior trees,according to the content of inclusions(polysaccharides,flavonoids,triterpenoids)as the main indicators,10 superior trees were selected,and they were measured for a long time in the second year to observe the stability of the main inclusions.finally selected 3 excellent trees.The average annual content of polysaccharides in superior tree is between 58.96 mg/g and 66.48 mg/g,the annual average content of flavonoids is between 4.89 mg/g and 5.82 mg/g,and the average annual content of triterpenes is between 31.40 mg/g-33.76mg/g.(3)The paper used 3 grafting methods,such as side grafting,cut grafting,and cleft gra:fting,have significant effects on the yield of Cyclocarya paliurus.The side graftuig method under the stock fluid discharge has the highest survival rate of 100%,and the survival rate of the cleft grafting method is only 33.33%;the survival rate of the side grafting method under non-stock fluid discharge treatment was 66.67%,and the survival rate of the cleft grafting method was 0.The most suitable grafting method for Cyclocarya paliurus was the side grafting method under the stock fluid discharge.(4)Altitude has a significant effect on the growth of Cyclocarya paliurus.The growth is inversely proportional to the altitude.At an altitude of 400-600m,the tree height and DBH reach the peak value,the average tree height is 13.18m,the average DBH is 22.60cm,and the difference in growth between the altitude at 600-800m and 800-1100m reached a significant level.The altitude has an effect on the leaf inclusions(polysaccharides,flavonoids,and triterpenoids).The average content of the three inclusions reached the highest at altitude range in 600-800m,which respectively was 52.94mg/g,3.80mg/g and 24.3 1 mg/g,but the difference of triterpenoid content did not reach a significant level,in which the content of polysaccharide was the lowest at 400-600m,secondly was at 800-1100m;the content of flavonoid was the lowest at 400-600m,secondly was at 800-1100m.,the content of triterpenoids is the lowest at an altitude of 800-1100 m,which is only 21.74 mg/g.(5)The slope direction has an effect on the growth of Cyclocarya paliurus,but it has not reached a significant level.The height of the tree height in the southwest and southeast is better than that in the northeast and northwest.The average tree height on the southwest slope is 12.97m,the lowest is the northeast slope.It is only 3.23m.The average breast diameter of the southeast slope is the largest,reaching 23.1cm.The average breast diameter of the northeast slope is the lowest,only 5.57cm.The slope direction also had a significant effect on the content of the content of Cyclocarya paliurus.The content of polysaccharides,flavonoids and triterpenoids in the southwest slope reached the highest,56.18mg/g,4.44mg/g,30.67mg/g,and different.The difference in content between the slopes was significant.(6)The slope has an effect on the height of the tree.When the slope is 10-19°,the height of the tree height reaches the maximum,which is 12.32m and the diameter of the breast is 31.75cm.With the increase of the slope,the growth gradually decreases and the slope is at 20-29°,the height of the tree is the lowest,only 6.35m.When the slope reaches 300 or more,the average breast diameter is the smallest,only 11.46cm.The slope also had a certain effect on the content of Cyclocarya paliurus.The contents of polysaccharide,flavonoid and triterpenoids were highest at slopes of 10-19°,which respectively were 59.45 mg/g,4.48 mg/g and 27.33 mg/g.The flavonoids were lowest at a gradient of 300 or more,only 50.91 mg/g and 3.53 mg/g,and the triterpenes were the lowest at a slope of 20-29°,but the difference between the slopes of the triterpenes was not significant.At the altitude of 400-600m,the slope is southwest slope,and the slope is 10-19° is the suitable habitats for Cyclocarya paliurus in Anhui.The results can provide an important basis for the artificial cultivation site and site selection of Cyclocarya paliurus.
