In this study,compared with the feeding antibiotic quinolone,adding different levels of mannitol into the diet of meat rabbits,the effects of mannitol on growth performance,blood index and meat quality of meat rabbits.In order to determine the possibility of replacing feeding antibiotics with mannitol in the feeding of meat rabbits.The results showed that:(1)compared with the control group,the high-dose group significantly increased the live weight of meat rabbits and promoted the development of organs,the weight of meat rabbits reached 1431.51±3.50 g in the high-dose group.The weight of liver,kidney and spleen was 42.66±0.88 g,10.6±0.21 g and 0.78±0.05 g,respectively,which were significantly higher than that of the control growp(P<0.05).(2)adding high-dose mannitol in the feed can not only significantly increase the IgA,IgM,IgG and NO content in the blood,but also effectively reduce the TC content in the blood.In the high-dose group,the serum levels of IgA,IgM and IgG were 0.88±0.07 g/L,0.61±0.05 g/L and 9.15±0.13 g/L,respectively.The content of NO in the high-dose group was 56.24±6.67 umol/L.The content of TC in the high-dose group was significantly lower than that in the control group.The serum 11-4 content in the low-dose group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).(3)Adding mannitol in the feed could improve the routine nutrition composition and muscle quality of meat and rabbit,and the effect was the best in the high-dose group.The average content of protein,water,fat and ash in meat and rabbit muscles in this group was 20.04%,76.43%,2.02%and 1.21%,respectively.In the high-dose group,the water content of the longest dorsal muscle was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).In the high-dose group,the muscle a*of the longest dorsal muscle was 2.05±0.25,the hydraulic power of the longest dorsal muscle and leg muscle reached 79.87±1.10%and 78.83±1.01%,respectively,and the hardness of the longest dorsal muscle and leg muscle was 3597.91±96.90 and 3768.33±86.56,which were significantly different from the control group(P<0.05).(4)The results showed that there were no tetracycline antibiotics and olaquindox metabolites in feed and meat rabbit muscle.Although tetracycline antibiotics were detected in muscles,their contents were all lower than the detection limit,which further indicated that mannitol played an important role in improving the growth and meat quality of rabbits.
