| Pseudorabies(PR)is an infectious disease caused by Pseudorabies virus(PRV)in domestic animals and a variety of wild animals.After infection,it mainly causes reproductive disorders,abortion,stillbirth,mummified fetuses and high mortality of piglets,causing huge economic losses to the pig industry.In recent years,with the change of breeding and management methods,the prevalence and disease characteristics of pseudorabies in pig farms have also undergone significant changes.The record on the diagnosis and epidemiology of pseudorabies in most provinces in China shows that the disease has a large number of clinic cases and a wide range from 2011,which is very harmful to the pig industry.Some domestic researchers have investigated the PRV infectious situation of large-scale breeding pigs and found that the PRV infection of breeding pigs,especially sows,is widespread.Therefore,it is imperative to carry out the serological investigation and control of pseudorabies in breeding herds.To know pseudorabies infectious cases in intensive pig farms in Suzhou area,the pseudorabies serology survey was carried out,and three breeding pig farm were selected to deal with,pseudorabies control and elimination of infected animals by making control project.A series of control and stamping-out measures were carried out in experimental pig farms and pseudorabies control effect is obvious,the pig pseudorabies control and stamping-out technology test application can used in more scale breeding pig farm in the region.1.Serological investigation of pseudorabies in pig farms in Suzhou areaIn order to understand the wild virus infection and immunity of pig pseudorabies in large-scale pig farms in Suzhou,a total of 1,863 pig serum samples were collected from 45 large-scale pig farms in 7 cities(districts)in 2016-2017 and which were tested by ELISA.The positive rate of PRV gE was 42.14%for tested samples and the positive rate was 84.44%at farm level.The test results of different growth stages showed that the positive rate of PRV gE antibody varied with different growth stages,among which the positive rate of PRV gE was 45.44%,44.66%and 42.86%,respectively,for producing sows,boars and gilts,which were severely infected,indicating that PRV infection was common in large-scale pig farms in Suzhou.The positive rates of PRV gB and gE samples in 2016 were 73.67%and 30.01%respectively.The positive rates of PRV gB and gE samples in 2017 were 79.99%and 29.89%,respectively.The results showed that Pseudorabies virus infection was common in different pig populations in Suzhou,and the wild virus infection rate was high and the gB seroconversion in vaccinated pig herds was not satisfactory.Pseudorabies is popular in Suzhou area,the pressure of pig pseudorabies virus infection is great,so it is urgent to carry out pig pseudorabies control in Suzhou area.2.Control and purification of pseudorabies in breeding pig farmsIn order to explore the control and stamping-out technology of pseudorabies in pig farms in Suzhou area,three large-scale pig farms were selected as the test pig farms,and stamping-out techniques were applied to the test pig farms through epidemiological investigation,establishment and implementation of stamping-out plans,detection of gB and gE antibodies,vaccine immunization and strict stamping-out measures.Continuous monitoring results show that:in July 2016 to June 2017,according to the "detection-stamping-out-vaccination-detection-stamping-out" program,continue to implement control measures for three test breeding pig farm work,gE antibody in two breeding pig farms have been negative,and in the other farm is at a lower level.In this study,the results of pseudorabies control in the experimental pig farms were successful,and the control and stamping-out techniques of pseudorabies in tested pig farms also provided references for the control of PRV in the large-scale pig farms in Suzhou area. |
