Wheat is one of the major food crops in China,the wheat aphid is one of the important pests on wheat and can cause huge economic losses.The occurrence and damage of Sitobion avenae affect the yield and quality of wheat seriously.Breeding and planting resistant wheat varieties is an effective way to control S.avenae.Access of insect resistant ability by wheat itself to sustainable control of the occurrence and harm of aphids is an important way to prevent and control wheat aphids.In this study,217 wheat cultivars were used to identify the resistance to S.avenae in the field in the past two years,in order to screen the resistant wheat varieties,it provides a theoretical basis for the wheat breeding and the mechanism of the resistance to aphid as well.And selected 12 wheat cultivars with different levels of resistance to S.avenae were selected and analyzed using the age-stage,two-sex life table.It was analyzed systematically by the indicators and population parameters that including developmental duration,survival rate,reproductive capacity in wheat cultivars with different resistance levels.And the resistance of different wheat cultivars to S.avenae were comprehensively analyzed through the combination of field identification and the age-stage,two-sex life table,in which it could provide a theoretical basis to improve identification methods of wheat aphid resistance.The main results of this study are as below :1.In the 129 wheat cultivars that were repeatedly identified in two years,there are 26 wheat cultivars that showed stable resistance to S.avenae,accounting for 20.16% of the total.Among them,immune or highly resistant cultivars was not exist,and there were 2 wheat cultivars that showed moderate resistance: Langyan 43 hao and Linfeng 3 hao respectively;there are 12 varieties showed low resistance,such as Yannong 19,Kenong 199,Tangmai 8 hao,Shimai 16 hao,Henong 4198,M8008,Lumai 14,Pingyang 298,Shan 627,Shannong 138,Zhou 99233,and Yumai 49;the number of wheat cultivars of low sensitivity,moderate sensitivity,high sensitivity is 5,4 and 3.2.There were some differences in the developmental durations,survival rates,fecundities and intrinsic rates of increase of wheat cultivars with different levels of resistance.The resistance results obtained from comprehensive life-table indexes and population parameters were basically aligned with the natural resistance of field wheat.Studies have shown that Henong 827,Lumai 21,Jimai 20,Shannong 21,Shannong 18 and Jinan17 had higher resistance,and Shannong 12,Linfeng 3 and Shannong 45 had higher susceptibility.
