In the early stage of cucumber cultivation,transplanting seedlings is a main method to improve the quality of cucumber production,plug matrix seedlings is the world’s most widely used technology.In order to solve the problems of precise management of water and fertilizer of cucumber seedlings,and cultivation of high quality and strong seedlings in the environment of facilities,the cucumber "Zhongnong 26" was used as the experimental material,and the water and fertilizer demand of cucumber seedlings was studied under different water content and nutrient solution concentrations.On this basis,the best facility environment was selected to provide a theoretical basis for cucumber seedling cultivation techniques under the conditions of the facilities.The main findings are as follows:1.The effects of different substrate water content on cucumber seedlings were studied.The results showed that when the substrate water content was 90%,the total water consumption of the seedlings was significantly higher than other treatments,and the water efficiency was also significantly higher than other treatment.The plant height,stem diameter,leaf area,biomass,and root activity of this treatment seedlings were significantly higher than those of others and malondialdehyde content and peroxidase were the lowest.The correlation between water consumption and seedling plant height,stem diameter,leaf area,biomass,and root index reached the significant level.The equation of fitting water consumption and plant height,stem diameter and biomass was determined by different functions.Among them,the relational equations of plant height,biomass and water consumption all had the highest degree of fitting to the logarithmic function.To sum up when water content of seeding substrate reached 90%level,it can create a good seedling.2.Effects of different nutrient concentrations on cucumber seedlings The results showed that under the 1.0-fold full-nutrient level,the growth of seedlings was significantly promoted,and the biomass,root activity,chlorophyll content and photosynthetic index value of the seedlings were increased.However,at low concentrations(0.25-fold and 0.5-fold)full-valent nutrient solution,cucumber seedlings grew dwarf and biomass was low.When grown at high concentrations(1.5-and 2.0-fold)full-valent nutrient concentrations,seedling growth was inhibited.3.The growth of cucumber seedlings and their economic benefits under three different facilities were compared.The results showed that plant height,stem diameter,leaf area,biomass(aboveground fresh dry weight and fresh underground dry weight),seedling quality,chlorophyll content,and root vitality of cucumber seedlings were the highest,where cucumber seedings were cultivated under the plant factory.Because plant conditions designed with the multi-layer seedling construction has significantly raised the yield and near-profit value of seedlings.
