| Millet plays an important role in the field of global food crops.However,there are still some deficiencies in the research of millet harvesting machinery.Therefore,this paper focuses on the research of mechanical properties in torsion test.Firstly,the design of the torsion device of millet stalk was analyzed in terms of the existing Instron universal material testing machine’s work and structure characteristics,and the incompatibility between the torsion device and the material testing machine was analyzed,a torsion device is designed and developed which can better match the test of torsion.Then the elastic constant of torsion of millet stalk was determined.The torsion tests were carried out on jingu 21,qinzhou huang and zhangza millet,take its average according to the Torque Mp-Torsion Angle Δφ test curve was analyzed Polar moment of inertia Ip,Torsional strength τs,to get Torsional elastic constant G and Torsional stiffness EI,in order to provide some reference for the research and development of millet harvester. |
