Fokienia hodginsii has good wood quality and fast growth rate.It is a unique and precious timber tree species in China,and is suitable for popularization and planting in southern China.In recent years,with the popularization of Fokienia hodginsii,the market demand for Fokienia hodginsii seedlings is increasing.The experiment was conducted in Meilin State-owned Forest Farm of Fujian Province.Cutting experiments were carried out with branches of Fokienia hodginsii.The effects of different substrates,seasons,light,water,climate and fertilization conditions on cutting rooting of Fokienia hodginsii were compared by analysis of variance.The aim was to provide reliable theoretical basis for improving cutting propagation technology of Fokienia hodginsii.In order to cultivate good seedlings and increase economic benefits,Fokienia hodginsii offers feasible suggestions.The results show that:1.The effects of different substrates on cutting seedlings of Fokienia hodginsii were studied.The results showed that the effects of different substrates on cutting rooting rate,number of rooting slices,maximum root length,seedling height,aboveground biomass,underground biomass and total biomass of Fokienia hodginsii were extremely significant(P<0.01),and on ground diameter were significant(P<0.05).Cutting rooting and seedling growth effect of loess soil and river sand medium was the best,followed by loess soil and cutting seedling growth effect,river sand medium rooting and seedling growth effect of cutting again,pearlite cutting rooting and seedling growth effect was the worst.2.The effects of different seasons and light conditions on cutting seedlings of Fokienia hodginsii were studied.The results showed that season had extremely significant effects on cutting rooting number,maximum root length,ground diameter,aboveground biomass,underground biomass and total biomass of Fokienia hodginsii(P<0.01),and different seasons had significant effects on Cutting Rooting rate of Fokienia hodginsii(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the effect of different seasons on the seedling height of cuttings of Fokienia hodginsii(P>0.05),and there was significant difference in the effect of different light on the rooting rate,number of rooting slices,maximum root length,seedling height,ground diameter,aboveground biomass,underground biomass and total biomass of cuttings of Fokienia hodginsii(P<0.01).The highest rooting rate,ground diameter,aboveground biomass,underground biomass and total biomass were 61.1%,2.21 mm,2.18 g,0.53 g and 2.71 g,respectively.The number of rooting slices,maximum root length and seedling height were 14,8.9 cm and 16.3 cm,respectively,under high light conditions in autumn.Cutting management cost is higher and comprehensive consideration is more suitable for cutting under high light condition in autumn.3.The effects of different water conditions on cutting seedlings of Fokienia hodginsii were studied.The results showed that the effects of different water conditions on cutting rooting rate,rooting number,maximum root length,seedling height,ground diameter,aboveground biomass,underground biomass and total biomass of Fokienia hodginsii were very significant(P<0.01).Rooting rate,maximum root length,seedling height,ground diameter,aboveground biomass,underground biomass and total biomass were the highest when watered 15 days apart.The rooting rate was 53.3%,8.3 cm,16.3 cm,2.0 mm,2.17 g,0.54 g and 2.71 g respectively,and the number of rooting slices was the highest when watered 15 days apart.For 11,comprehensive comparison,interval 15 d water cutting effect is the best.4.The results showed that different weather conditions had significant effects on the rooting rate of Cuttage of Fujian Platycladus Fujianensis(P<0.05),but had no significant effects on rooting number,maximum root length,seedling height,ground diameter,aboveground biomass,underground biomass and total biomass(P>0.05).Under sunny weather,cutting propagation of Fujian cypress is helpful to improve rooting rate.5.The results of different fertilization measures on cutting seedling of Fokienia hodginsii showed that the effects of different nitrogen fertilization measures on cutting seedling height and ground diameter were significant(P<0.05),and the differences on aboveground biomass,underground biomass and total biomass were extremely significant(P<0.01).The types of fertilizer affecting the growth of cuttings were urea>plant ash>superphosphate.The best combination of fertilization measures was A3B3C2,that is,applying urea(nitrogen fertilizer),calcium superphosphate(phosphorus fertilizer)three times and grass ash(potassium fertilizer)twice.At this time,cutting seedlings of Fokienia hodginsii grew best,seedling height was 30.12 cm,ground diameter was 3.29 mm,aboveground biomass was 4.36 g,underground biomass was 1.44 g,and total biomass was 5.80g.6.Principal component analysis and subordinate function analysis were used to evaluate the effects of different environmental factors on cutting seedling of Fokienia hodginsii.The subordinate function values of substrate,season and light,water condition,climate condition and fertilization treatment were 0.5768,0.2894,0.2665,0.2037 and 0.1737,respectively.The results of comprehensive evaluation were as follows:fertilizer>season and light>climate>moisture>matrix. |
