Study On Popularization And Application Of Natural Fruit Drop Method Of Lin’an Hickory

The development of non-wood forest products plays an important role in improving the quality of life of mountain farmers and promoting the economic transformation and upgrading in mountain areas.As a non-wood forest product with high economic value,hickory has been making important contributions to the livelihood of farmers and the development of mountain areas in Lin’an District of Hangzhou City,Zhejiang Province.However,Lin’an hickory picking technology is very traditional,pickers must climb the tree,hand-swinging hit hickory.This method not only affects the quality of hickory and the regeneration of hickory tree in the coming year,but also threatens the life safety of the hickory collectors.What is more noteworthy is that,in the case of a large number of rural young and middle-aged labor loss,the continued use of this method will push up the cost of hickory labor,not conducive to producers and consumers,but also unfavorable to the healthy development of hickory industry.The hickory natural fruit drop method is a safe and efficient hickory fruit picking technology.It can not only effectively reduce the casualties of hickory harvesting,promote social harmony and stability,but also promote the large-scale management of hickory.However,for some reasons,the application rate of this method in Daoshi Town is not high.Therefore,how to popularize and apply this method in the whole town and even the whole main producing area of hickory in Lin’an District has become a matter worthy of study.The article went to Daoshi Town,and got 80 sampling questionnaires.Using statistical descriptions and logit regression model,the paper investigated the willingness of farmers to adopt the natural fruit drop method.The empirical results show that:The age of peasant households is significant at 1% level,and the younger the age of peasant households,the greater the possibility of adopting the technology;the political status of village cadres does not bring about the probability of adopting the new technology;the bigger the management area of hickory,the more concentrated the peasant households,the higher the probability of adopting the natural fruit-falling method;and the younger the peasant households are,the higher the probability of adopting the natural fruit-falling method The higher the degree of economic dependence on walnut,the more attention paid to the cost-benefit problem in the process of agricultural production,the easier it was to adopt the new technology which could increase the income;whether there had been casualties had a significant effect on farmersadoption of new technology,and it was significant at the level of 5%.Based on the empirical results of regression model and the existing second-hand information,the paper puts forward the following suggestions for the hickory natural fruit drop method:(1)strengthen publicity and form omnidirectional publicity;(2)give full play to the organizational role of village committees in the promotion;(3)introduce support policies to strengthen policy innovation;(4)strengthen public security management to prevent the situation of picking up chaos;(5)Increase capital input,increase subsidies;(6)optimize low-altitude safety net harvesting technology,reduce costs;(7)strengthen scientific and technological cooperation,do a good job in exchange of experience.
