Stellaria media(L.)Villars is a medicinal and edible plant which belongs to Stellaria L.Caryophyllaceae.At present,most of the studies on Stellaria media L.are in medicinal use and consumption,and there are few studies on whether Stellaria media L.is suitable for application in orchard grass.In order to clarify its suitability for promotion and application in orchards,this study studied the germination characteristics,sowing date,and the effects of different shading treatments on the biological characteristics of Stellaria media L.The results are as follows:1.Germination tests in seed chambers were conducted at constant temperature of 12?,15?,20?,25? and 30?.The results showed that the optimum germination temperature of Stellaria media L.seeds was 15?-20?.At 15? and 20?,the seed germination rates were 95%and 87%.At the constant temperature of 120C and 250C,the seed germination rates were 71%and 52%.The seeds did not germinate at a constant temperature of 30?.2.Seed sowing in mid-March and late March(ground temperature 12?-15?),mid-April(ground temperature 20?),early May(ground temperature 30?),and late August(ground temperature 25?).Among them,Stellaria media L.sown in late August were the earliest,only about 7 days,and the best growing conditions were the best.The area of the leaves was about 2.67 cm2.The Stellaria media L.planted at the beginning of May were the latest and needed about 20 days,and the growth was the worst and the area of the leaves was the smallest.About 1.35 cm2.It is recommended that the planting time in the Jinzhong area be from late August to early September.3.Through the study of the different degree of shading treatment(shading rate of 65%,75%,85%,95%)on the growth and development of Stellaria media L.The results showed that the Stellaria media L.grows best under the shading rate of 95%and the growth under the CK was the smallest.Under the sunshade treatment,the Stellaria media L.leaf area is larger,the leaf blade is thinner,and the trampling resistance was reduced4.Shading treatment can effectively delayed the yellow period of Stelaria media L.From the perspective of proline and protein content of plant leaves,the cold resistance of the plants treated with 95%of the shading rate was the stronges,and the cold resistance of the plants under the control was the weakest,but from the viewpoint of the malondialdehyde content of the leaves and stems of plants,Plants under control had the strongest cold resistance.
