Sheep breeding has a long tradition in China.China becomes one of the largest sheep cultivation countries due to rich variety resources of both sheep and goat.As people’s living standards improving,people concern healthy food.So,how to improve the meat quality becomes an urgent issue in animal husbandry.This thesis is based on the data of Tian Jin Teng Yuan company,with exploring and analyzing the operation status of large scale sheep farms from the farm site selection,site planning and layout,sheep house building,equipment,feed,management,epidemic prevention etc.Meanwhile,the performance of reproduction and growth in Hu Sheep were also analyzed.Furthermore,the relationship between FecB gene type and birth rate were analyzed.The main results were as following:1.Hu Sheep health breeding system can be accomplished through reasonable location,scientific layout and design of sheep house,green feed,the appropriate environment,excellent epidemic prevention system,harmless fecal disposal and other measures.From those,the husbandry could achieve flock health,human health,the standardization of development.Teng Yuan animal husbandry is scientific in those aspects.2.Hu Sheep can have estrus from Spring to Winter.Lambing time is concentrated in October to December.The lambing rate of raw lambs was 194.21%.The average rate of lambing was 225.21%.It built up with the increase of parity.The ratio of lambs to sheep lambs was 17.60%,51.37%,27.07% and 4.00%.Birth type and sex had a significant effect on the growth and development in Hu Sheep.3.PMSG + vaginal suppository and PG were used to treat with the sheep.The results showed that the ratio of sheep with estrus in PMSG + vaginal suppository and secondary PG treatments were significantly higher than once PG treatments.Simultaneous estrus treatment of 4511 Hu Sheep on the entire site using different release times.The estrus rates at 13 d was 94.38%.4.There were three genotypes in the Hu Sheep population,in which the dominant genoty pe is BB with 94.22%.The dominant allele is B gene,the gene frequency is 96.89%.High po pulation of FecB gene homozygote showed the high birth rates.Enhancing the selection of Fe cB gene type in Hu Sheep will be increase the litter sizes.In conclusion,the key points of large-scale Hu Sheep breeding mode in Teng Yuan sheep farm were relatively reasonable.The type and sex of Hu Sheep had a significant effect on the growth and development of lambs.The best treatment for estrus at the same time was PMSG+ vaginal suppository and 13 days withdrawal.Hu Sheep population belongs to a highly homozygous FecB gene group and the FecB gene can increase the average litter size.The FecB gene can be used as a key gene for Hu Sheep breeding.
