| With the development of economy,the human’s demand of grassland resources has far more beyond the capacity of grassland ecosystem.Combining with the influence of climate change,a series of problems,such as grassland degradation,biodiversity reduction and soil desertification have been frequently recorded,which leads to a more sharp contradictions among people,grass and animals,and poses great threat to the role of grassland as a natural protect barrier.Given on these problems,the China’s government put forward to the ecological protection red line strategy to protect ecological environment and promote conservation culture in 2011.Based on the ecosystem integrity and consistency,the ecological protection red line refers to a forbidden utilization life baseline of dominated key ecological function areas and ecologically sensitive regions.Once being,these regions would cause irretrievable environmental problems.The ecological red line plays an important role in developing the national economy,and,securing regional ecology and the residential environment.Based on the grassland condition and present ecological environment problems,this study chose grassland ecosystems in the six northern provinces(Shaanxi,Gansu,Ningxia,Qinghai,Xinjiang,Inner Mongolia)as the research object.Firstly,the ecological redline of water conservation function and the sensitivity of grassland desertification was evaluated by using the net primary productivity,rainfall,slope,grassland coverage,soil erodibility factor and aridity index,respectively.Then,the delineated results of grassland water conservation function and the sensitivity of grassland desertification were divided into five different levels and three-line ecological protection red line system according to the classification criteria.Finally,the demarcated boundaries of different regions were identified by integrating the remote sensing and filed investigation analysis based on the reclassified results.The grassland ecological protection red line in the six northern provinces were lastly delimitated.Results showed that the total area of grassland ecological protection red line is 6.42×10~7hm~2 in the whole study area,of which the area of ecological red line zone is 1.23×10~6 hm~2,accounting for 1.92%of the total study area.These regions mainly scatters in the Loess Plateau,eastern Gansu,the southwestern Qaidam Basin,southern Tarim Basin,and the western part and north of Tianshan Mountain.These areas should adhere to the notion of ecological priority,and prohibit all industries strictly to ensure the integrity of the ecological system regions.The total area of ecological yellow line zone is 2.45×10~7 hm~2,occupying 38.08%of total grassland areas,which are mainly distributed in the Hunbeier of Inner Mongolia,Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border regions,the east and south of Qinghai and the southwest of Tianshan.The importance of ecological function in those areas is second to that of the red line area,therefore,the yellow line zone can act as a buffer for small-scale construct activities.The area of the ecological green regions is 3.85×10~7 hm~2,taking up to 60%of total study areas,which mainly spread in the Hulun Buir Plateau,southeast of Inner Mongolia,east of Ningxia,middle of section of Hexi Corridor,the Kunlun Mountains,south of Tianshan and Altay Mountains.In comparison to other regions,the ecological function and the sensitivity degree of desertification in these areas are relatively low,and it is less likely to be harmful to the ecosystem.Therefore,these regions can be used as a major eco-economy construction and development regions. |
