In order to find the infection and incidence of poultry leukemia and leukoplakia in a large-scale broiler breeders in Changji,and to detect the decontamination results,the serum of 4 chickens in a large-scale broiler breeder in Changji was analyzed.Avian leukosis PCR and Salmonella bacterial culture tests were performed.1.Detection and decontamination of avian leukemiaAccording to the experimental design,chickens in different days of age from 4 houses in a large-scale broiler breeder farm in Changji were detected in 2 batches,400 serums each time.The first detection time was for chickens in 14-15 weeks of age from House A,B,C,and D.The total number of positive results was 94,the total positive rate was 23.50%,and the average OD value was 0.273,in which the positive rate was 26.00%,21.00%,28.00% and 19.00% for House A,B,C and D.In view of this situation,the farm took strict knock-out measures,eliminating those positive breeder chickens,and strengthened disinfection and ventilation in the farm.The test was carried out again after 7 weeks,and the total positive rate dropped significantly,from 23.50% to 7.75%,by 15.45%.The second test was for the 400 serums from Houses A(21 weeks old),B(21 weeks old),C(22 weeks old)and D(22 weeks old)in a broiler breeder farm.The total number of positive results was 31.The positive rate was 7.75%.The average OD value was 0.109,in which the positive rate was 9.00%,10.00%,7.00% and 5.00% for House A,B,C and D.2.Detection and decontamination of chicken white dysenteryChickens in different days of age from 4 houses in a large-scale broiler breeder farm in Changji were detected in 6 batches,400 serums each time.The first time was a serological test for chickens in14-15 weeks of age.The total number of positive results was 149,and the total positive rate was 37.25%,in which 53 were strongly positive(13.25%),96 were weakly positive(24.00%).In response to the infection status,ceftiofur,fluoric acid,enrofloxacin and other sensitive medicines were used.Disease chickens were eliminated while disinfection and ventilation were strengthened,and the treatment and decontamination measures were monitored monthly.By adopting the above scheme,the total positive rate was significantly decreased from 37.25% to 4.25%,by 33%.The last test showed that out of 400 serums in 34-week-old chickens from House A,B,C and D,there were 17 positive results,and the total positive rate was 4.25%,in which 1 was strongly positive(0.25%),16 were weakly positive(4.00%).All in all,the detection results showed that the infection rate of avian leukemia declined significantly from 23.50% to 7.75% by eliminating diseased chickens and strengthening disinfection and ventilation.By adopting a combination of sensitive medicines,together with the elimination of diseased chickens,disinfection and ventilation,the decontamination results of chicken white dysentery were even more obvious,falling from 37.25% to 4.25%.This provided useful experience for the prevention and control of poultry leukemia and chicken white dysentery in chicken farms in Changji.
