| Coccidiosis is the most important and common protozoal disease in animal husbandry production.It parasitized in the digestive tract of livestock and excreted with the feces.It can directly infect livestock without intermediate host.Once livestock ingest the fodder contaminated with eggs,it is highly likely to be infected,seriously endangering the health of livestock,especially for young livestock.Diseased young animal are often aggravated,because of misdiagnosis or untimely treatment.Eventually even lead to the death of young animals,causing big economic losses.In order to grasp the prevalence of coccidiosis in the Arbas white cashmere goat and effect of current grazing patterns on the prevalence of coccidiosis in goats.Authors used goat feces to conduct oocyst inspections at different stages of grazing,and collected 631 goats manures.In this experiment,the saturated salt water floatation method was used to qualitative examine the oocysts of the coccidia,and the McMaster's Method was used to quantitative detect the coccidial oocysts.The results showed that the positive rate of lambs in June was 77.63%,and the positive rate of adult goat as 73%.In October,the positive rate of lambs was 70%,and the positive rate of adult goat was 51.64%.By lateral and longitudinal comparison,we can conclude that lambs are more susceptible to coccidia than adult ones,and that different rearing conditions(stabling and grazing)have an impact on the prevalence of coccidiosis.Under the condition of stabling,the infection degree of coccidia was stronger than that of coccidia under the conditions of grazing.Prevention is the main principle for diease control and the most important principle for animal husbandry.According to the survey results,a scientific and reasonable prevention plan can be drawn over here.Effective deworming,scientific breeding,and reasonable management can reduce the occurrence of coccidiosis and herdsmen's economic incomes losses. |
