In this research,the sprinkler irrigation device with square spray field was developed to solve the problem of overlapping irrigation and extraterritorial spraying of the circular spray field sprinkler.The basic principle is: We use the link mechnism and the cam to controls the elevation angle of the sprinkler,so as to change the range to form a square area during the sprinkler irrigation.Through theoretical analysis and software numerical simulation,the main structural parameters were determined,and the performance of the device was tested and verified.The main conclusions obtained were as follows:(1)Explored a variety of square spray area implementation methods,determine the basic principle of the device is to adjust the elevation angle changes during the rotation of the sprinkler to form a square spray field,use the experiment to verify the relationship between the change of elevation angle and sprinkler range.In addition,we designed The mechanical mechanism that can achieve regular change of elevation angle of the sprinkler can be realized.(2)Using computer software to simulate the motion of the device,and we designed the cam’s outline of the device.During the design the rigid impact and flexible impact of the cam mechanism were fully taken into consideration,so that the cam mechanism of the device can be operated stably.(3)Taking into account that the sprinkler flow in the device is constant and the range of the sprinkler is constantly changing,it will lead to the decrease of spray irrigation uniformity.In order to improve the sprinkler uniformity of the device,a method of adjusting the rotation speed of the sprinkler is adopted,and the 1/8 spray field of the device is selected as the object of study.The 1/8 spray field was divided into 9 parts according to the angle,and the variation of the sprinkler rotation speed was obtained by the area ratio of the 9 parts,which provided usable data and a method for the control of the rotation speed of the sprinkler of the device.(4)A method for controlling the change of the rotation speed of the sprinkler is proposed.The force mechanism of the mechanism of the device is analyzed.The work value required for rotating the sprinkler at any angle is determined,and establish the functional relationship between the work value and the spray duration.The resistance coefficient between the contact surface of cam mechanism and the roller.Through the incomplete gear mechanism,controls rotation of the damper to provide resistance that effectively reduce the resistance coefficient between the cam and the roller,so that the device can be manufactured.(5)We completed the manufacturing and performance verification of the device.In the design experiment,a grid-like method was used to arrange the rain barrels.The Christianson uniformity coefficient of the device was tested to be 82.07%,which was higher than the national standard.The square spray domain coefficient was used as the standard of the spray field near the square,the result was as high as 92.06%,and the square spray field was effectively implemented.For the problem of the outside spray irrigation of circular spray field sprinkler,we tested the quantity of the outside spray irrigation of the device,and the formula for calculating amount of the outside spray irrigation was proposed.The result was 1.32%.The amount of spray irrigation of the device decreased by 13.53% than sprinkler with circular spray field.The experiment indicating that the device has the advantages of high uniformity coefficient and high irrigation water use efficiency.
