With the development and application of modern breeding technologies, more and more comprehensive researches focus on genetic parameter estimation of swine traits had been conducted. Both researchers and farmers are interested in economically important traits. In this study,we aimed to estimate genetic parameters of the interval from weaning to service, which significantly influences economic benefits of pig farms.13,012 reproductivity records for 4,213 Landrace and Yorkshire sows from two farms, one of which from Guangdong province and another one from Jiangxi province, are analyzed in this study.Phenotypes were recorded from 2011 to 2016.Descriptive statistical analysis and quality control of the raw data were performed on Microsoft Excel and R platform. Finally,we calculate the genetic parameters of the interval from weaning to service by using two animal model in DMU.The main results of this study are as follows:1.Parity,warning month and year, and lactation length displayed significantly effect(P < 0.05)on the interval from weaning to service for both Landrace and Yorkshire sows.2.The interval from weaning to service of sows is a trait with low heritability.a)Using the animal model 1 with effect of permanent environmental cases, the heritability of the interval from weaning to breeding is 0.02±0.001 and 0.03±0.002 in Yorkshire and Landrace sows, respectively.b)Using the animal model 1 Without effect of permanent environmental cases, the heritability of the interval from weaning to service is 0.06 and 0.04 in Yorkshire and Landrace sows, respectively.c)Respectively, under animal model 2 to analysis, the heritability of the interval from weaning to service of the primiparous(multiparous)sows are 0.01±0.03(0.07±0.02) and 0.05±0.04(0.02±0.01)for Yorkshire and Landrace, respectively.d)For Yorkshire sows, the interval from weaning to service is 0.05±0.02 in 2-5 parities, which is 0.05±0.04 in 6-9 parities. For Landrace sows, the interval from weaning to service is 0.05±0.04 in 2-5 parities, which is 0.01±0.04 in 6-9 parities.
