With the change of the global climate,and constantly threat the survival and development of human beings,governments and scientists pay attention to the problems of the ecological environment from all over the world.Forest ecosystems can improve and protect the regional ecological environment,and estimating forest biomass can effectively evaluate the quality of forest ecosystems,reflect the productivity of forest ecosystems,provide reference information for the sustainable development of forests,and provide services for macroeconomic policies.The Dongguan,Guangdong Province is the research area in this study,the remote sensing image of Landsat 8 TM and the field measured data of forest biomass in 2016 as the data source.Using the correlation analysis,principal component analysis and stepwise regression analysis to analysis the different forest biomass and the factors that can be extracted by remote sensing in Dongguan,and constructing remote sensing estimation models of biomass in different forest types.Analyzing and evaluating the distribution of forest biomass in Dongguan.The main conclusions are as follows:1.The estimation models of forest biomass by remote sensing is reliable.The applicability test of forest biomass estimation models of main forest types in Dongguan is less than 0.05 significant level,which can be used in the study of forest biomass in Dongguan.2.Different forest types have different the selection of remote sensing estimation factors of forest biomass.The forest biomass of pine forest,broad-leaved mixed forest and Acacia forest are closely related to altitude and canopy density;the forest biomass of Eucalyptus and other economic forests are closely related to the slope and slope position,and the forest biomass of coniferous mixed forest and litchi forest are closely related to TM6-TM3 and TM9/TM1;the forest and coniferous forest of fir forest and coniferous forest Biomass are closely related to enhanced vegetation index.3.Different forest types have different estimation accuracy.The coefficient of determinations of remote sensing estimation models of biomass in Dongguan are all higher than 0.8,and the values are between 0.80 to 0.97.The F-test of the models reach the 0.05 significant levels.4.The total forest area of Dongguan is 60195.10hm2,the forest biomass is 2145582.50 t,the biomass of the Acacia forest is the highest,broad-leaved mixed forest and the eucalyptus forest biomass are the second,and the other economic forest biomass is the least.5.the forest biomass mainly distribute at the mountain area and hill area in the southeast of Dongguan,especially in Tangxia Town,Zhangmu tou Town,Songshan Lake and Huang Jiang Town.
