Wheat Fusarium head blight(FHB)is an important disease decreasing the production and threating the safe of human beings and animals. At present, there is still no effective measure to solve the problem. It is universally acknowledged that identifying and developing cultivar with resistance to various diseases is most effective,environment-friendly and economic method to control diseases. In practice, cultivar with multi-resistance and good production is too less to satisfy the demand of production. To identify and develop resistant germplasm(cultivar),a F7 generation population derived from L661 × L693 was constructed. The field experiment was designed with many places and many years to identify the population's resistance to FHB using the FHB severity index. In the molecular experiment, the DNA extracted from the F7 plant lines was used to PCR analysis. Then the single marker analysis was conducted by win QTL cart 2.5 software using the filed resistance data and molecular data. The F7 population exhibited a broad and continuous distribution for FHB severity. The results were showed as below.a.The evaluation of FHB severity is changed with the environment and years, but there still remain a weak positive correlation with FHB severity in different years and places.b.10 germplasms with high resistance to FHB were identified and developed in the field evaluation of FHB in the several years. They could apply into field production and wheat resistance improvement breeding.c.Several molecular markers were found associated the FHB severity by single marker analysis.Among them,Xwmc231-3B and Xbarc133-3B were detected closely associated with the FHB severity in different places and years, and could be used into molecular marker assisted selected breeding. The results above will accelerate the progress of FHB resistance improvement and new cultivars' developing, and put a way to decrease this disease.
