In order to evaluate the monitoring and control efficacy of different light traps on main mango pests, frequency trembler grid lamp(FTGL),black light lamp and LED lamp were selected for monitoring and control using the combinations of lamp traps and sampling surveys in Daoxi Mango Orchard,Dongfang City and Baodaoxincun Mango Orchard,Danzhou City,Hainan Province, respectively. The relations between trapping amounts of pests and pest populations obtained through sampling surveys, and the decreased rates of pests after light trapping were analyzed. The results are as follows:1.The correlation between pest species trapped by lamps and those obtained by field sampling surveys are determined. In Daoxi Mango Orchard,29 species of mango pests are trapped by lamp traps and 24 species of mango pests are obtained by sampling surveys, among which,21 species of mango pests are obtained both by lamp traps and sampling surveys. In Baodaoxincun Mango Orchard,39 species of mango pests are trapped by lamp traps and 38 species of mango pests are obtained by sampling surveys, among which,26 species of mango pests are obtained both by lamp traps and sampling surveys. The results show that lamp traps can be used to monitor the species and damage of mango pests.2.Light traps are found to have good monitoring results on annual growth dynamics and population of several mango pests, such as Anomala cupripes. In Daoxi Mango Orchard, large numbers of Anomala cupripes,Erosomyia mangicola,Thalassodes proquadraria and Atgyroploce aprobola are trapped. And in Baodaoxincun Mango Orchard, large numbers of Erosomyia mangicola,Idiscopus incertus and Deporaus marginatus are trapped. In Daoxi Mango Orchard, the trapped and surveyed number fluctuations of Anomala cupripes,Erosomyia mangicola,Thalassodes proquadraria and Atgyroploce aprobola are basically in accordance. But in Baodaoxincun Mango Orchard, same situation only occurs on Erosomyia mangicola. The trapped numbers of Anomala cupripes,Erosomyia mangicola,Thalassodes proquadraria and Atgyroploce aprobola are significantly positively correlated with the surveyed numbers. The correlation coefficients(r)between different pests and FTGL,black light lamp and LED lamp are:0.879,0.905,and 0.917 for Anomala cupripes,0.765,0.549 and 0.483 for Erosomyia mangicola,0.486,0.469 and 0.536 for Thalassodes proquadraria,0.673,0.709 and 0.745 for Atgyroploce aprobola in Daoxi Mango Orchard,0.656,0.631 and 0.628 for Anomala cupripes in Baodaoxincun Mango Orchard, respectively. These results demonstrate that light traps can be used to monitor pest field populations.3.The trapping results of 3 kinds of light traps are different. In Daoxi Mango Orchard, the numbers of pests species trapped by FTGL,black light lamp and LED lamp are 29,25 and 22,respectively.Among different lamp traps, black light lamps have better trapping results for Anomala cupripes than FTGL and LED lamp. The numbers of Anomala cupripes trapped by black light,FTGL and LED lamps are 440,253 and 139,respectively.FTGL and LED lamps have better trapping results for Erosomyia mangicola than black light lamps. The numbers of Erosomyia mangicola trapped by FTGL and LED lamps are 197 and 223,respectively,which have no significant differences and significantly more than those trapped by black light lamps.FTGLs have good trapping results for Thalassodes proquadraria and Atgyroploce aprobola and the numbers of Thalassodes proquadraria and Atgyroploce aprobola trapped by FTGLs are 61 and 76,respectively.Although the 3 kinds of lamps have good trapping results for mango pests, they also can trap natural enemies. The killing effects of 3 kinds of lamps are different. The ratios of natural enemies to pests trapped by FTGL,black light lamp and LED lamp are 1:3.17,1:1.23 and 1:0.45,respectively in Baodaoxincun Mango Orchard, and 1:7.62,1:2.07 and 1:3.86,respectively in Daoxi Mango Orchard.4.Light traps have certain control effects for several mango pests, like Anomala cupripes.Numbers of Anomala cupripes,Erosomyia mangicola,Thalassodes proquadraria and Atgyroploce aprobola have been decreased after using FTGLs.At distances of 10m,30m,50m,70m,100m and 120m far from the light, the decreased rates of Anomala cupripes quantities are 71%,62%,49%,42%,23%and 10%,respectively,the decreased rates of Erosomyia mangicola quantities are 39%,26%,13%,-15%,-4%and 8%,respectively,the decreased rates of Thalassodes proquadraria quantities are 67%,50%,27%,-12%,10%and 2%,respectively,and the decreased rates of Atgyroploce aprobola quantities are 56%,40%,5%,8%,-16%and-7%,respectively,whose decreased rates are relatively lower than others. |
