Lily(Lilium spp.)is a common herbaceous bulb flower in the genus Liliaceae,there is a long history of cultivation and cultivation in our country.The plant material selected in this research is the Lilium Asiatic Hybrids “Tresor” and “Cedeazzle”.There are two excellent and very common Lilium Asiatic Hybrids,with tall and straight plant type,thick green leaves,yellow and orange flowers,beautiful and attractive,no irritant aroma,short growth cycle,long flowering period,very suitable for indoor potted plants.However,the seed balls on the market are generally cultivated in open field or cut flowers,they can not meet the demand of potted plants.The better potted flowers need to meet the characteristics of compact plant type,not easy yellow and falling leaves,long flowering period for long time to watch,and stout stems are not easy to tilt and break,so this study selected growth retardants to treat the plants.In order to meet the demand of potted culture,the cut flower lily was changed into a suitable potted variety,and the variety selection of potted lily was broadened to fill the blank of potted lily variety in the market.In this research,two kinds of Lilium Asiatic Hybrids “Tresor”and “Cedeazzle” were used as experimental materials,the seed balls were planted in the pot,and different growth retardants were sprayed on the leaf surface of the lily when it grew to about 10 cm.Two common growth retardants,paclobutrazol and dwarf,were selected,and four gradients were designed for each growth retarder.By observing the growth and development indexes and physiological characteristics of two kinds of Asian lily,sorting out the data and comparing and analyzing,the kinds and concentrations of growth retardants suitable for the pot culture of Asian lily were selected.The changes of these indexes during the growth and development of lily were also preliminarily summarized,in order to provide reference and guidance for the subsequent experiment of dwarf cultivation of lily in pot culture.Main results of this research are as follows:(1)After spraying the growth retarder,the plant height of the two Asian lilies decreased obviously,the stem diameter level increased,and there was a positive correlation with the spraying concentration of the growth retarder.The treatment of low concentration could reduce the width and increase the thickness of the leaves,thus significantly improving the foldable leaves and the scattered plant types of Asian lily,but the application of high concentration of growth retardants would cause different degrees of damage to the leaves of the plants.The effect of spraying 50mg/L and 75mg/L paclobutrazol was satisfactory.(2)The application of growth retardants also affected the flowering of Asian lily,and delayed the beginning,full and final flowering of Asian lily,but the average flowering period was longer thanthat of the control group,and the effect of leaf spraying with paclobutrazol 50 mg/L was the best.It can prolong the average flowering time of lily by about 10 days.(3)The growth retardants could increase the content of soluble sugar and soluble protein in leaves,improve the resistance to stress and delay the senescence of plants.Comprehensive analysis,the appropriate treatment should be foliar spraying 50mg/L paclobutrazol.It also increased the activity of SOD and POD,enhanced the resistance of Asian lily and made it grow better under stress.The anthocyanin content of the low concentration treatment was significantly higher than that of the control,and with the increase of the concentration,the anthocyanin production was inhibited by 50 mg/L paclobutrazol.Combined with the above analysis,the foliar spraying of paclobutrazol was more effective,and the suitable concentration was 50 mg/L.Under this treatment,the Asian lily had strong growth,compact plant type,thick green leaves,long flowering period and high ornamental value,so it was suitable for potted plants.
