Dalbergia odorifera T.Chen,also known as rosewood,is a semi-deciduous tree species that is mainly found in Hainan and South China in dry forests,barren slopes and ridges below 700m.The D.odorifera is a cherished tree species,and the natural distribution D.odorifera is on the edge of extinction due to severe deforestation.In order to protect the germplasm resources of D.odorifera,the research on the biological characteristics of D.odorifera should be strengthened.The study took theD.odorifera pod as the study object to observe the growth and development of fruit and seed morphology.To measure the physiological and biochemical indexes of the seeds of the D.odorifera,to study the growth regularity of the pod and seed of D.odorifera,providing theoretical support for determining the most suitable harvest period.The results of the study were showed as follows:1.In the fitting of growth indexes and growth indexes of D.odorifera,the fitting effect of seed volume was the best,R2 value was 0.987;the growth and development of length and width all showed obvious "S" curve trend.I pod length,II pod length,fruit width R2 values were 0.97,0.909,0.956.The vertical and horizontal and thickness index of the seed were the best for the quadratic curve fitting model,The R2 values were 0.948,0.971,and 0.97 respectively.From 65 days after flowering,I pods,? pod distance between the fruit stem and the seed were negatively related to the growth period were present linear relationship.2.In the fitting of the relationship among various morphological indexes of D.odorifera,the seed contour length of the type I pod and the vertical diameter of the seed were best fitted by a one-dimensional linear equation.The seed volume and the diameter of the seed were best fitted by the power function equation.the R2 values in both groups were 0.988;The expression of soluble sugar content and seed vertical diameter,horizontal diameter,thickness were all cubic curve equations with high correlation,and the fitting R2 values were 0.976,0.977,and 0.983,respectively.3.During the maturation stage of D.odorifera,the morphological indicators tended to be stable.The vertical and horizontal diameters and thickness of the seeds increased to the maximum value and tended to be in equilibrium.The vertical and horizontal diameters and thickness of the seeds were significantly positively related to the growth period,and the seed volume reached Maximum,sphericity reaches equilibrium at 0.39.4.During the growth and development of D.odorifera,the soluble protein content of seeds increased,showing a rising-descending-rising trend.After reaching the peak of 180 days after flowering,it began to decline;the soluble sugar content showed a linear growth trend.and reached a peak of 160 days after flowering and became stable;the chlorophyll of the pods changed into an ascending-descending trend,and the pods gradually changed from green to dark brown.In summary,the growth curve of pod length and width is "S" type,The vertical and horizontal diameters and thickness of the seeds were all curve equations.The best time for seed harvest is the fourth period,from160 to 200 days after flowering,the fruit growth indicators tend to be stable,the water content dropped to about 35%after 160 days after flowering,the seed fresh weight,dry weight increase to 0.33g and 0.2g respectively to reach equilibrium.
