Abstract/Summary:
The conventional X-ray examination technology is simple,intuitive,simple,low-cost,low-cost equipment, and has obvious diagnostic effects on lungs, bones, and other diseases.Currently,it is widely used in veterinary clinics and has greatly improved veterinary clinical diagnostic techniques. However, conventional X-ray examination is difficult to find small lesions and some fine structure, and often can not be satisfied with the display of lesions in some places where are lack of natural contrast. The CT examination has a higher resolution of tissue density and is a true tomographic imaging. After image reconstruction, the tissue or organ can be displayed in any orientation, and the lesion display is more comprehensive, and the small lesions with altered density can also be displayed, which greatly improved the detection rate and diagnostic accuracy of the disease. At present,CT examinations have been widely used in veterinary clinics in developed countries such as Europe and the United States;while the modern pet diagnosis and treatment technologies started late and diagnostic techniques are relatively backward in our country, but in recent years, the modern pet diagnosis and treatment technologies develop rapidly, the demand for new diagnostic technologies is also increasingly urgent. This subject analyzes the CT images taken at Dr.Xie’s animal hospital in Changchun to establish a preliminary application study of CT in the clinical of small animals. The CT image characteristics of common cases are listed in the text to improve the understanding of CT application technology, and provide reference for clinical application. This project collected 120 cases of CT imaging images taken by Dr.Xie’s animal hospital, including 60 cases of spinal diseases,18 cases of head diseases,30 cases of bone and joint diseases, and 18 cases of other diseases(tumor, lung cancer,etc.).The classic cases were discussed and analyzed, including two classic cases of CT diagnosis of head disease, three cases of classical diagnosis of spinal disease by CT,and three cases of classical cases of tumor diagnosis by CT,thus establishing the preliminary application study of CT in small animal clinical.Conclusions:(1)Ordinary X-ray examination is more difficult to shows the head disease, especially intracranial lesions, and CT can clearly show the head and intracranial lesions, such as cerebral infarction and brain atrophy.(2)The normal X-ray examination can show the serious spinal lesions, but it is difficult to find early or smaller lesions;CT reconstruction images can clearly show slight lesions of the vertebral body, but CT has a low detection rate for herniated discs or intraspinal lesions.(3)The detection rate of early or small space-occupying tumor lesions is more lower by ordinary X-ray examination;and CT examination technique is highly sensitive to tumor diseases(Tumor larger than 5mm can be found);Enhanced scan can be used to observe the degree of adhesion of the tumor with the surrounding tissue to more accurately determine the tumor’s occupancy.
