Urban ecological environment is closely related to human life which has got a lot of attention.Promoting city ecological construction by urban landscape gardening is an important developing direction.As a crucial part of the landscaping,garden plants carry all ecological functions,and need to solve the problem that how these tree species planning could work best ecologically in limited urban green area.According to the area of garden tree species in Jiangsu,which is divided by Wang Zhi in 2009,this article selects Region B as the research area,with the following considerations:(1)Region B is the area in the south of Main Irrigation Channel of North Jiangsu,which includes Taizhou,Yangzhou and Huaian city and surrounding counties and districts,and the administrative division belongs to middle inland part of Jiangsu Province.This area has a certain foundation in regional economy,should also keep up with the progress in landscape construction with the development in more developed cities in southern Jiangsu province;(2)Region B has its own characteristic because this region is located in the area which is a transitional zone of the north subtropical to warm temperate.As a result,the garden tree species planning in this vegetation types also has a transitional style.In the north of Yangtze River,such as Yangzhou,the tree species selection is more similar to the South of Jiangsu Province,while the northern of middle Jiangsu Province,such as Huaian,is more like warm temperate deciduous tree type.So this region has unique research significance;(3)Since the lack of a complete system of tree species planning,according to the results of survey in Region B,urban green plants in this area is almost the same as other cities.If things go on like this,ignore environmental conditions,tree species repetition and urban green space homogenization.This paper investigates some major cities in Region B on the application status and planting model of garden tree species groups,and uses tree species in this area as the research object.Then summarize problems in the application of garden tree species in Region B with the theory of domesticated,habitat factor analysis,pollution ecology,plant communities,landscape aesthetics,landscape ecology,biodiversity protection and other related theory.From the plant ecological habits,stain resistance and biodiversity in Region B,this paper finally gets the following results:(1)There are 251 species of trees in Region B,including 32 evergreen trees,64 deciduous trees,11 evergreen dungarunga,29 deciduous dungarunga,61 evergreen shrubs,37 deciduous shrub,14 liana and 10 bamboo.B region garden plant species of trees and shrubs ratio is 1:1.4,ratio of evergreen trees and deciduous trees is 1:1.This area is lack of urban landscape features and has different maintenance management level;garden tree species richness is insufficient with less use of water resistant tree species and unique tree species.(2)According to the ecological habits,the suitable tree species in Region B is classified,including adaptability of light,soil and water,providing the basis to increase tree survival rate.(3)Reorganize stain resistance tree species in Region B according to the type of pollution and resistant strength,to improve the urban environmental pollution and provide basis and guidance to the plant ecological function.(4)According to the first two research content theory of biodiversity conservation and local natural plant community structure research,finally determine the proportion of the tree species,including the proportion of gymnosperms and angiosperms,evergreen trees and deciduous trees,tree species and shrub species,woody plants and herbs.(5)based on the above three research content requirements,considering landscape aesthetics requirements,bring up an opinion on fundamental key trees,key trees,general trees(including foliage trees,flower trees and fruit trees)and characteristics of tree speciesis given B the backbone tree species,fundamental key tree species,general tree species(including foliage trees,flower species concept of fruit trees and trees)and specific trees.
