Rice roots can absorb moisture and minerals and fix plant. In addition, roots can be self-reproduction,producing synthetic growth regulator and the storage of synthetic organic material. This study is divided into nine categories by lateral root density which is RM109/MiYang 23 of the F4 generation of recombinant inbred lines containing 2840family groups. That conducts multiple comparison analysis for crown root diameter, radicle root diameter, root length, plant height and effective tiller characters.710 strains of dominant?no lateral root?were selected from F4 generation to use for fine mapping. We analyzed the target gene LRT1 through candidate gene prediction. The main results are as follows:1.There was no significant difference among root-width of crown root in different lateral root density.Root-width of radicle merely between LR1 and LR7 exist significant difference. The lack of lateral root rice didn't affect the root diameter.Root length was slightly different among different lateral root density. The LR4 existed significant difference compared to LR3,LR8 and LR9.Note that lateral root of radical can affect the length of root, not the lateral root of crown root. The growth of length was not affected by completely none lateral root at seeding stage.Plant height and tiller number existed significant difference among different lateral root density. That showed that the presence of lateral root played an important role on plant height and tiller growth in rice.2.Correlation analysis of different lateral root density of many agronomic traits showed that the lateral root density had significantly positive correlation with plant height, effective tillers per plant and plant biomass per plant. It existed none statistical correlation compared to the appearance quality of rice and viscosity values.3.We chose 710 mutants F4 plants for fine mapping.Using closely linked SSR markers?RM15826 and RM1038?located to sides of lateral root mutant LRT1 to analysis for the 710 mutants and then we screened 57 recombinant single plant.Further,11 SSR polymorphism markers and 9 polymorphism InDel markers found between RM15826 and RM1038 conducted genotype analysis of 57 recombinant plants.Eventually, the target gene was mapped on chromosome 3,located between the InDel1 and RM15909 about183kb fragment.4.FromricegenomeAnnotationProject?http://rice.plantbiology.msu.edu/cgi-bin/gbrowse/rice#search?,26 candidate genes were predicted in the region where LRT1 was flanked by InDel1 and RM15909 marker.Thesequencing results showed that the LOCOs03g53150.1 gene was as a candidate gene for none lateral gene.
