Abstract/Summary:
With the constant development of forestry information technology,trees visual simulation technology has been used more and more widely,it provide a new research method and technical platform for foresters.But at the present time,most research of trees model concentrate on the visualization of monopodial branching trees,lacking of the relevant visualization research on sympodial branching trees,which is the common tree species.Taking sophora japonica as an example in this study,by analyzing its morphological structure,build three-dimensional model of smpodial branching trees,and complete the design and implementation of smpodial branching trees visualization system as well.Firstly,according to the characteristics of sympodial branching trees,determine the morphological structure parameters,which can describe sympodial branching trees.And get morphological structure data using three-dimensional laser scanning technology.By dividing branch into primary and Secondary branch,the distribution range and distribution law of elevation angle,branch length,branch diameter and the stepwise bifurcation ratio is analyzed.And establish a regression model of branch diameter and branch path road length.By analyzing the morphological structure parameters of tree,shows that these parameters can describe the essential characteristics of sympodial branching trees completely.Then,set up relationships between IFS parameters and sympodial branching structure parameters.State the method of constructing sympodial branching trees model based on IFS algorithm.And present the implementing process of building sympodial branching trees model using IFS algorithm as well.The simulating effect shows that using IFS fractal method can simulate the morphology and stucture of sympodial branching trees,include the simulation of tree morphology,branch state and morphology variation of the tree.Finally,with c# as programming language,.NET and DirectX as three-dimensional visualization platform,the development of smpodial branching trees visualization system hasbeen completed.By applying this system,establish the tree model according to the analysis results of morphological parameters of sophora japonica.Besides,to improve the application level of this system,achieving visualization of Walnut-Tree and elm.The application of this system shows that the smpodial branching trees visualization system can achieve a good effect with the three-dimensional visualization of sophora japonica and other sympodial branching trees.
