Based on the different age stages of Quercus wutaishansea as the research object,Typical sampling method was conducted to comprehensive comparative analysis of the effect of different habitats on the environment factors, seedlings regeneration and growth, the crown architecture of seedlings and saplings,The main conclusions were as follows:1?The environment factors was changed with the appearance of the forest gap.The environmental factors and soil nutrient under different forest gap size significant difference. The environmental factors, including available sunlight, air temperature and humidity, coverage and height of shrubs and herbs, and soil characteristics, were also measured and their relationships with the seedling growth and development were analyzed.2?The presence of the forest gap promoted the regeneration of the forest and the growth and development of the Q.wutaishansea seedlings. The number of the seedlings were increase with the increase of forest gap size, the number of seedlings was the most in the middle gap size, then big forest gap, small forest, the last was the understory. And the number of seedlings had significant variation under the four habitats. From understory to big forest gap,the length of primary branch showed a trend that first increased then decreased, the longest primary branch was under middle forest gap.The diameter of primary branch variation trend was common with the diameter of seedlings, increased from understory to big gap.And it had significant variation under the four habitats.3?The crown morphological features of Q.wutaishansea seedlings and saplings changed in response to three kinds of habitats, the crown of understory is simple and the crown of the other habitats are rich.Gap size significantly affected the diameter, seeding height, crown length and crown ratio of Q.wutaishansea seedlings.Gap size significantly affected the overall bifurcation ratio, stepwise bifurcation ratio, and ratio of branch diameter, while had little significantly affected the interval between branch. The tree height, the height under branch are declined and the diameter is increased from understory, forest gap to forest edge. The crown width, crown area, crown ratio of the saplings increased first and then decreased, and the under 3 habitats the variance is significant.Overall bifurcation ratio, gradually branching ratio, branch diameter ratio of saplings was first increase then decreased from understory, gaps to forest edge.4?Subordinate function evaluation results showed that, the changing of the habitats promoted the regeneration of seedlings and improved the growth and crown architecture of seedlings and saplings, middle gap to the benefit of the forest regeneration, while big gap to the benefit of saplings growth.
