As a utility technology in the agricultural machinery field,Variable Wheel Track Technology(VWTT)is the key in the agricultural machinery automation process.A mechanical all-wheel drive flexible tread vehicle chassis is introduced in this paper,and the virtual prototype model of the chassis has been built according to the design scheme based on ADAMS software.Simulation analysis is carried out with the theory of multi-body system dynamics,and exercising optimal design on structures of the chassis according to the results of the simulation analysis.First,intending the technology of spraying machines and other special vehicle chassis for agricultural machinery as research background,a mechanical all-wheel drive flexible tread vehicle chassis is provided.Further explanation is given for full-scale construction,the principle of variable wheel track,the system of all drive differential mechanical transmission and the structure of suspension damping system,from the aspects of mechanical transmission system?steering system and vehicle suspension system.Then,a virtual prototype model of the transmission system on this drive differential mechanical chassis is established basing on the simulation software environment of ADAMS,to explore the characteristics of differential drive unit which is the core of mechanical transmission system.Testing the variable relationship of force,torque and rotational speed in the process of simulation,and recording the results of simulation data.Carrying on the analysis validation for the design of the transmission system.After that,the virtual prototype model of the vehicle suspension system on this drive differential mechanical chassis is established,and designing the experiment of tranquility and stability on crab tracked and different speed conditions referring to the test methods of tranquility and stability for vehicle chassis.Calculating the weighted acceleration RMS of chassis on D level road simulation conditions,to evaluate the design of tranquility.Recording the data of lateral acceleration,yaw rate and roll angle in the simulation of steady rotation,steering angle step and other experiments,to evaluate the design stability of chassis.Summarizing the matching characteristics that between suspension damping system and highland gap variable wheelbase chassis.Finally,the parameterized simulation model of chassis is established basing on the parameterized modeling mechanism of ADAMS software with the relevant design variables of damper design and installation angle etc.Simultaneously,setting the objective measurement function of tranquility and stability,optimizing and adjusting the design layout structure of chassis according to the results of the optimization analysis.
