Rail corrugation are quasi-sinusoidal irregularities that appear at the longitudinal surface of rail.It is named corrugation because of it is similar with wave.Severe rail corrugation would shorten the life of the rail,increase the cost of maintenance,and even worsen the wheel-rail relationship.It could also aggravate wheel-rail vibration,affect passenger comfort,and threaten driving safety.Scholars from various countries around the world have studied rail corrugation for more than a century,but causes and mechanisms of rail corrugation are complex,and there is no universal cure measurement to treat with.Although there is no neat measure for rail corrugation,railway workers around the world have also done some fruitful work on corrugation.Some products have been applied to the transformation of existing lines and construction of new lines,which played a certain role in alleviating corrugation.During past ten years,China's high-speed railway has developed rapidly.The operating mileage of high-speed railway has leapt to the top in the world.It has brought great changes to people's travel methods,at the same time,problems of corrugation has become severe.How to treat corrugation has become a difficult problem for railway workers.As is known to all,the moving of train is achieved by wheel-rail contact,which is an unavoidable problem during the research of rail wave grinding.From the perspective of the dynamic response characteristics of the track system under the condition of wheel / rail coupling,this article studies corrugation on a high-speed railway line and tried to find out the mechanism.
