People pay more and more attention to the energy and environmental contradictions brought by the development of transportation.Therefore,the electric vehicle industry has been developing rapidly.As its driving motor,PMSM(permanent magnet synchronous motor)has gradually been favored by people.It is of great significance to improve the design and manufacturing level of domestic PMSM and improve motor performance to promote the progress of PMSM technology and the development of electric vehicles and related industries.In this paper,the electromagnetic design of a built-in PMSM with "V" shape is carried out according to the demand of the current passenger car for the drive motor.The output torque and speed of the motor are larger with consideration of the motor volume.The design parameters of the motor are tested by using the finite element analysis method,and some related parameters affecting the motor performance are simulated and analyzed.Firstly,the development and research status of PMSM are introduced.This paper briefly describes the evolution of PMSM for electric vehicles at home and abroad,and briefly describes the design and analysis of PMSM for electric vehicles.Secondly,according to the drive demand of electric vehicle,the magnetic circuit scheme of the motor is determined and the performance index of the motor is calculated.This paper summarizes and compares the design methods of PMSM,analyzes the characteristics of different rotor magnetic circuits,and selects the magnetic circuit scheme.In addition to meeting the requirements of normal driving,the motor should also have the characteristics of high torque and high speed.Thirdly,the electromagnetic analysis and design of PMSM are carried out.It includes the estimation of motor volume,the selection of electromagnetic load,the material selection of key components,the determination of structure and size,the determination of pole slot matching and winding form,etc.in order to make the motor have better overload capacity,the permanent magnet with high magnetic energy product is selected.Finally,the design parameters and performance indexes of the motor are tested,analyzed and optimized by the finite element simulation analysis method.The influence of the size of the uniform air gap and the non-uniform degree of the non-uniform air gap on the motor torque,speed and other performance parameters is analyzed,and the causes,characteristics and weakening of the cogging torque are analyzed.The simulation results show that the design parameters of the motor are reasonable,and the performance parameters of the motor after adjustment basically meet the design requirements.Through this design,the PMSM has the characteristics of high torque and high speed,which meets the design requirements and achieves the purpose of improving the output performance of electric vehicle permanent magnet synchronous motor.
