Design And Implementation Of Vehicle Assistant Driving Unit Based On Controller Area Network

Advanced driver-assistance systems(ADAS)applied to the automobile can improve the driving experience,reduce the probability of accidents and improve the safety.At present,it has become a key development project for domestic and foreign automobile manufacturers.According to statistics from the National Highway Safety Administration of the US Department of Transportation,half of traffic accidents occur from the rear of the vehicle,change lines and turns.However,advanced driver assistance systems can reduce accidents caused by these problems by 46%.In this thesis,based on the Z company’s vehicle-assisted driving unit project and the CAN(Controller Area Network)Bus communication technology,the assistant driving unit was designed,which is composed of assistant driving unit controller,reversing radar probe and reversing camera.The reversing radar is processed by the assisting driving unit,and the traffic information behind the vehicle is transmitted to the cab in real time through the CAN bus.The driver can make correct judgments and operations with the image of the vehicle provided by the reversing camera on the screen in the cab,as well as the information on the obstacle distance provided by the assisting driving unit,Therefore,the safety performance of the vehicle is improved.Firstly,the thesis introduces the research status of the assisted driving system and describes the overall design of the assistant driving unit.Then it focuses on the design and implementation of the assistant driving unit hardware and software Finally,the hardware and software testing of the assistant driving unit proves its solution.It has successfully passed the test and reached the design expectations.And the delivery can be completed smoothly.
