In building a well-off society comprehensively,industrial and civil construction has been greatly developed.However,as a result of the shortage of urban land resources,buildings are becoming high-rise or even super high-rise,which requires large bearing capacity to meet the requirements of construction.As an old foundation for construction,piles are still widely used and developing.Pile foundation is becoming more and more popular as foundation thanks to large bearing capacity,small settlement and outstanding seismic performance.In this paper,based on a project which tests the quality of a pile at site,the numerical simulation software is taken to simulate the equal diameter pile and squeezed branch pile under this condition,and analyze the bearing characteristics of a single pile under the vertical load,five main aspects are as follows:This paper summarizes the development and application of pile foundation,as well as the common pile foundation quality detection technology,and further discusses the working performance and failure mode of equal diameter pile and squeezed branch pile under vertical load.Based on the quality inspection of pile foundation in a project site,the Q-S,S-lgt and slgq curves and low strain inspection curves are obtained through the quality inspection of three equal diameter test piles in the site.According to the relevant regulations,whether the test piles meet the design requirements is verified,which provides the necessary basis for the design of pile foundation.The finite element software MIDAS GTS is applied to simulate the same working condition,and the results of simulation are compared with the those of field test,so as to verify the applicability and accuracy of using Midas GTS to simulate the bearing capacity of single pile.Under the same working condition,the simulation of equal diameter pile and squeezed branch pile is carried out,the bearing characteristics of equal diameter pile and squeezed branch pile under vertical load are analyzed,and the reasonable pile diameter of squeezed branch pile is simulated to reduce the pile diameter and meet the requirements of bearing capacity,thus providing reference for the design of pile foundation.Three squeezed branch piles with different expanding bodies are set up,the positions of which are 10 m,15m and 20 m respectively.Midas GTS software carried out the stimulation of the three squeezed branch piles.Through picking up the corresponding data,the load settlement curve is drawn.Moreover,under the vertical load,the influence of the position of the expanding bodies on the bearing capacity of the squeezed branch piles is analyzed successfully,which provides a reference for the pile foundation design of the project.
