With the development and improvement of global economic integration,the trade volume has enlarged and increased in scales and quantity among nations and areas.All these are promoting and driving the rapid rate of logistics transport development,especially the container shipping.The terminals play more and more important roles as gateways in the marine shipping during integrating progresses of the global economy.The economic grade and developing level of the cities and zones depend on the efficiency and throughput of ports,container terminals in particular.The berths are not only the spots of cargo transformation but also the bridge and belt for different countries and areas as cores.They can provide these countries and areas with much more deep and wide cooperation and communication each other.The terminals themselves are pretty important resource in the logistics supply chain.So the terminal berths are the key transport spots.BRAP(Berth Resource Allocation Problem)is usually shortened for BAP(Berth Allocation Problem).In this paper,the container terminal's berths are considered the most basic resource.In view of the berth resource allocation problem,the paper comprehensive studied and reviewed related native and foreign literatures and references,then summarized that the BAP mainly consisted of SDBAP,SCBAP,DDBAP,DCBAP and collaboration of BAP and QCs.According to the process and cargo category of QW container terminal,a DCBAP model is formulated,combining the actual operation on BAP and berth files of QW container terminal.And also the model based on many corresponding dissertations and articles.The mathematical formulation aims at minimizing the total flow time solved by GA(Genetic Algorithm)in MATLAB.The experiment data comes from the actual operation data of QW container terminal.It is proved that the formulation is more applicable to QW container terminal by contrasting the result with manual one.And it can be put use into the terminal berth operation and can bring optimization to QW container terminal in BAP.
